California used to be a place where people wanted to live. You have beaches, Hollywood, and numerous attractions. But due to their failure to handle the homeless problem they have become as Trump would put it a S-Hole. There is human waste in the streets and a serious rat infestation. The residents there are paying for it big time. They have to pay for the cleanup as no one wants to deal with human waste and they also have to move the homeless along that are setting up camp in front of their businesses. It’s not an ideal situation by any means.

WRT the SF special fees, they did, literally.

But I'm not aware of any other CA city that has these "special benefits districts" - San Jose (which is larger than SF, in area and population) does not - so the article title is, putting it nicely, very misleading.
