Iran strikes back at US with missile attack at air base

.....Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warned the U.S. and its regional allies against retaliating over the missile attack against the Ain Assad air base in Iraq’s western Anbar province. The Guard issued the warning via a statement carried by Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency.

“We are warning all American allies, who gave their bases to its terrorist army, that any territory that is the starting point of aggressive acts against Iran will be targeted,” The Guard said. It also threatened Israel............

Hard to say if you haven't been sitting around the table as this was discussed,and obviously,none of us were there.

I do see your point,but I also understand that sometimes you might want to go pubic with this to send a subtle message to others about what THEIR future will look like if they try this crap with us. It might help prevent your enemy from gaining allies.

This is a key point. There are NO US bases in Iraq. There are Iraqi bases that house US military personnel. Iran just attacked IRAQI military facilities with aim of killing Americans.
