Good bye Mom. God bless.

My sincere condolences.

I'm experiencing similar loss myself, for the first time in my life. It is more difficult than I had imagined.

My condolences to you, @truth_seeker.  My Mom passed last month, at 91.

@truth_seeker, sorry to hear of your loss. Even when expected, it brings changes.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Yes, we do.  I can't imagine Dad lasting much longer.  He's 94.

May your mother be serene and happy in the company of the angels and may your family have the peace of having had her with you on earth for as long as you were blessed to have her.

Lost my Dad in 1992 and my mother in 2004.  I think what bothers me the most is that they were from the Greatest Generation and I worry that, as they all leave us, we are going to be left with a bunch of snowflakes and whiners.

Last night my mother died, as she desired, at her home under paliative hospice care.  She turned 95 on Jan. 2nd. She lived 23 years after her husband died (my father).

Good bye Mom. God bless.
My Condolences RIP and may perpetual light shine upon her and all the souls of the faithfully departed.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

David Glass
Former Wal-Mart CEO, owner of the Kansas City Royals dies at 84

Glass served as an executive with Wal-Mart from 1976 to 2000, back when the company still had that little hyphen-star in its name. In 1993, he took over as chairman of the Kansas City Royals and by 2000 he had assumed ownership of the franchise. Initially reviled for his cost-cutting tactics and the persistently poor on-field performance of his cut-rate squad for most of his early tenure, he eventually vindicated himself when the Royals won the World Series in 2015. Glass sold the team to John Sherman last year.

Singer-songwriter David Olney dies on stage during performance at Florida festival
Olney, 71, fell silent and dropped his head in the midst of his set at the 30A Songwriters Festival in Santa Rosa Beach on Saturday night.
Jan. 19, 2020, 2:11 PM EST
By Variety

Singer-songwriter David Olney has died at age 71, after falling silent and dropping his head in the midst of a performance at the 30A Songwriters Festival in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Saturday night.

Some news reports said he "collapsed" on stage, but that isn't quite true: Olney simply became still on his stool, leading some audience members and even the musicians beside him to think he was simply taking a pause, before they realized what had happened and lowered him to the stage. ...

Olney was a revered figure in the folk-rock and Americana communities who had recorded 20 albums of his own as well as having his songs covered by Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Del McCoury and his former roommate Steve Earle.  ... More from NBC News

Video recorded earlier on the day he died:

Thanks for that @mountaineer

Mr. Olney's discography, song writing, etc. calls for more research, quite a bit at the Wikipedia article , wrote songs for some very good artists, I will have to post some of this later, maybe in that "Share what you are listening too" category or the country music thread for that matter. He sounded very talented. Rest in peace. Yes, I think I had come across some of his music previously.
