Donald Rosenberg of Westlake, Calif., the president of Advocates for Victims of Illegal Alien Crime, submitted the following letter to the editor opposing sanctuary proposals:

The legislature has introduced two bills to make Massachusetts a sanctuary state. They claim that this will make communities safer. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Unfortunately, I know from personal experience as my son was killed by an illegal alien in San Francisco nine years ago. Along with other victims we formed Advocates for Victims of Illegal Alien Crime (aviac.us). As mentioned in the Herald’s editorial “Sanctuary cities won’t fix problems” we should not have to exist. But sanctuary cities and illegal immigration keep us very busy.
