Attorney General William Barr sat for an extended interview with NBC’s Pete Williams to discuss the ... Inspector General report released yesterday afternoon. NBC has cut the thing up in a couple of stories, but it has also posted the whole thing on YouTube (24-minute video below).

Barr is familiar with the evidence gathered so far; he knows what he’s talking about. He understands that what we have staring us in the face is an unprecedented political scandal. He tentatively anticipates the criminal investigation reaching “a watershed” by late spring or early summer. I urge interested readers to watch the whole thing. The interview is invaluable in its entirety.

I’m not sure whether Pete Williams is just playing the fool for purposes of the interview, whether he is a fool, or whether he is handicapped by the fact that he gets his news from NBC News. Whatever the case, everything he elicits from Barr is of interest.

Sounds like Brennan and Obama were so invested in what they believed but had no evidence of that they thought telling the Russians was a trap in which the Russians would warn Trump and Trump would then be caught. Except there was no Trump-Russia Collusion, hence no warning to Trump. The Russians probably had another good laugh at Obama's expense.

Sounds like Brennan and Obama were so invested in what they believed but had no evidence of that they thought telling the Russians was a trap in which the Russians would warn Trump and Trump would then be caught. Except there was no Trump-Russia Collusion, hence no warning to Trump. The Russians probably had another good laugh at Obama's expense.

I think they kept it all from Trump because he was the target all along, protestations to the contrary.

The more I see Barr, the more am thinking the guy would make a good Supreme Court justice.

Would it not be an ultimate slap that he be Trump's nominee to replace Ginsburg when she is found facedown?

I heard extended sections of Barr interview. It was powerful stuff. He was measured but you could hear the intensity in his voice, and that he fully understood the gravity of the actions taken by top FBI officials. At times he even sounded incredulous at their actions.
