DALLAS, TX (The Dallas Morning News) – Supporters of Daniela Calderon-Rivera, the Dallas transgender woman who was shot multiple times at a bus stop in September, are demanding more action from authorities to bring her attacker to justice.

At a rally in front of the Frank Crowley Courts Building on Thursday evening, Calderon-Rivera addressed the crowd, saying she is still suffering from the attack, battling depression and fear.

An article in the Dallas Morning News, a major regional paper, is a "Media Blackout"? What a ridiculous clickbait headline! The Daniela Calderon-Rivera story is getting plenty of local coverage, because it is a local story.

It is? I watch local Dallas news. This may have been covered when it happened, but not today. There is so much crazy junk going on in Dallas who can remember what happened or when.

Just an FYI...Dallas Morning News is without a major newspaper....but also extremely liberal and subject to minimizing stories. I cancelled my subscription years ago due to that.

Whenever you see an article claiming a "media blackout" or "the media are ignoring" or some similar claim, just C & P the name of the person and/or the place and maybe the kind of event (murder, shooting, rape, etc.) and search that using whatever search engine you prefer (I use Duck Duck Go). The chance the results will have quite a few media articles from a wide variety of sources is a near certainty. I've done this scores of times over the past few years and found exactly one case where there seemed to be no coverage of the event.

I don't disagree that there maybe some media blackout. But your claim was local media blackout. I am sure not defending the DMN....but this makes no sense. I looked at your links. There have been multilple people that have been covered in the Dallas News for killing other people. Get a grip.

"Get a grip"? The whole point of the OP article is that the MSM are doing a blackout on this story. The claim is easily demonstrably false. And I have pointed this fact out. Why do you find that problematic, @berdie? If we conservatives rail at "fake news", shouldn't we avoid spreading fake news that happen to confirm our biases?
