Houthis Killed 3888 Children, Injured 5357 Others Since 2015: Rights Group
The Yemeni Network for Human Rights and Freedoms has accused Iran-aligned Houthi rebels of committing atrocities against children in Yemen since 2015 when the militia stormed Yemen’s capital Sana’a and staged a coup against Yemen’s government.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the rights group said it monitored, in cooperation with 13 international organizations, a number of 65,971 incidents of violations committed by the Houthis against children in Yemen.
3,888 children have been killed and 5357 injured, 147 of them inflicted with disabilities due to indiscriminate shelling on densely populated areas by the Houthis, landmines, Houthi-affiliated snipers, the group said.
