California Governor Gavin Newsom is suing the Trump administration for trying to get water to suffering farmers in the state’s Central Valley.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported Trump is trying to “prevent California’s rivers and wildlife from being cheated out of vital supplies.”

State leaders said boosting agricultural deliveries, a longtime campaign promise of the president, could upend fragile watersheds and threaten such protected fish as the ionic chinook salmon and delta smelt.

The Chronicle characterizes farmers as “big water users allied with Washington.”

Newsom said in a statement:

We are once again marshaling our collective resources and building on our record of strong, science-based environmental policies, to chart a new path forward for water policy in California. As stewards of this state’s remarkable natural resources, we must do everything in our power to protect them.

So now we have the spectacle of the government of California going to court to block farmers growing crops that people eat, in order to 'save the environment'.

And "we must do everything in our power to protect them" seems he places no limits on this, so will he call out the National Guard and begin shooting farmers?

There may be a tipping point for citizens there if this continues.
No punishment, in my opinion, is too great, for the man who can build his greatness upon his country's ruin~  George Washington

The Feds screwed over San Joaquin Valley farmers over this, IIRC, back during the Clinton Administration. There were towns so dependent on agriculture that unemployment shot up to 40% and families that had owned their farms for generations lost them. So this move by Trump and counter-move by Goobernor Nuisance could have electoral impact on races in the San Joaquin Valley and maybe the Sacramento Valley. Though probably not in the Sacramento-Davis area (bureaucrats and university students). And since much/most of CA's population is in the Land of LA, San Diego, Silicon Valley, and SF - folks whose awareness of agriculture doesn't go much beyond their grocery store - statewide races are not likely to be affected.

FWIW, my Dad was a farmer in Yolo County, 20-30 minutes' drive by county roads from Davis.

If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.
