Dems looking at Trump's possible Mueller obstruction in impeachment inquiry

Democrats are looking into President Trump’s potential obstruction of former special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe as part of the impeachment inquiry, a House Judiciary Committee counsel told a panel of federal circuit court judges on Monday.

House Democrats have repeatedly pushed for the release of grand jury documents stemming from Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, citing an “urgent need.”

Judge Thomas Griffith, a George W. Bush appointee, questioned the continued relevance of the Mueller grand jury testimony and exhibits, given press reports that Democrats are focused on Trump’s dealings with Ukraine in their impeachment hearings.


“Don’t believe everything you read in the press,” House attorney Douglas Letter said.

Hopefully the Rs remember to enter into evidence Mueller's sworn testimony to Congress that he had been in no way obstructed or hindered.

...hmmm.... 0bviously the 'impeachment' proceedings are not going as well as hoped and so they're drumming up this crappola again.  I see this also as they definitely are trying to get Trump to testify.

The House of Representatives is now investigating whether President Donald Trump lied to special counsel Robert Mueller in written answers he provided in the Russia investigation, the House's general counsel said in federal court Monday.
"Did the President lie? Was the President not truthful in his responses to the Mueller investigation?" House general counsel Douglas Letter told the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit about why the House now needs access to grand jury material Mueller collected in his investigation............
