I think you are right. I am pretty interested in politics myself,and kept falling asleep listening to the Dims lie about crap like how "John McLunatic was tortured every day for 6 years while a POW living in a tiny cell." SOB was never tortured at all,and in FACT was given movie star treatment. Like the other collaborators at the Hanoi Hilton,he even had a private cell.
By the time the election happens,most viewers will have forgotten it even happened. The Dims fired their shots too soon. They might have gained from this if they had started it right before the election,but all they have is a whole lot of nothing being spouted live on tv by professional liars. This is NOT going to leave a favorable impression in the minds of unaffiliated voters.
Besides,I have a sneaking suspicion that Trump is just waiting for them to shoot their loads,and then torpedo them with actual proof they were lying as well as guilty of trying to coverup the corruption of their top people.
