AP source: Second US official in Kyiv heard Trump call
By DESMOND BUTLER, MICHAEL BIESECKER and MATTHEW LEE2 hours ago

WASHINGTON (AP) — A second U.S. Embassy staffer in Kyiv overheard a cellphone call between President Donald Trump and his ambassador to the European Union discussing a need for Ukrainian officials to pursue “investigations,” The Associated Press has learned.

The July 26 call between Trump and Gordon Sondland was first described during testimony Wednesday by William Taylor, the acting U.S. ambassador to Ukraine. Taylor said one of his staffers overhead the call while Sondland was in a Kyiv restaurant the day after Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that triggered the House impeachment inquiry.

The second diplomatic staffer also at the table was Suriya Jayanti, a foreign service officer based in Kyiv. A person briefed on what Jayanti overheard spoke to AP on condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter currently under investigation.

The accounts of the two embassy staffers could tie Trump closer to alleged efforts to hold up military aid to Ukraine in exchange for investigations into political rival Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings. In defending Trump on Wednesday, Republicans repeatedly highlighted that Taylor never directly heard the president direct anyone to demand that the Ukrainians open the probe.

Oh good grief, enough already.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

Jayanti testified three weeks ago.   AP is recycling this crap and pushing it off as fresh new revelation because they have nothing else.

Gee, look what AP published over five weeks ago:

Quote
Profit, not politics: Trump allies sought Ukraine gas deal

.  .  .  Sargeant told Favorov that he regularly meets with Trump at Mar-a-Lago and that the gas-sales plan had the president’s full support, according to the two people who said Favorov recounted the discussion to them.

These conversations were recounted to AP by Dale W. Perry, an American who is a former business partner of Favorov. He told AP in an interview that Favorov described the meeting to him soon after it happened and that Favorov perceived it to be a shakedown. Perry, who is no relation to the energy secretary, is the managing partner of Energy Resources of Ukraine, which currently has business agreements to import natural gas and electricity to Ukraine.

A second person who spoke on condition of anonymity also confirmed to the AP that Favorov had recounted details of the Houston meeting to him.

According to Dale Perry and the other person, Favorov said Parnas told him Trump planned to remove U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch and replace her with someone more open to aiding their business interests.

Dale Perry told the AP he was so concerned about the efforts to change the management at Naftogaz and to get rid of Yovanovitch that he reported what he had heard to Suriya Jayanti, a State Department foreign service officer stationed at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv who focuses on the energy industry.

He also wrote a detailed memo about Favorov’s account, dated April 12, which was shared with another current State Department official. Perry recently provided a copy of the April memo to AP.

Jayanti declined to provide comment. Favorov also declined to comment.

I am blown away by the sheer magnitude of BS that AP is squeezing out.  So Dale Perry and some anonymous person claim that Andrew Favorov told them that two Russian and one American oil businessmen had told him that Trump was going to replace the Ambassador to Ukraine?  And Favorov was so concerned that he notified Suriya Jayanti in Kiev?  Seriously?  And now out of the blue 5 weeks later, AP wants us to believe that they just discovered some new witness with a juicy revelation that will send Trump to the gas chamber?

@Hoodat
Jayanti was scheduled three weeks ago but moved because Cummings died and all the rats went to his funeral.

Jayanti has not been deposed yet.

When Republicans say heresay, they mean everyone heard what he said.

I think my brain grew an automatic scramble button in the last few weeks. Impeachment news just sounds like gibberish to me now—yet retains all the hallmarks of desperation.
