Lol!   Are you being obtuse?   It's THE transcript of the call.  Or are you, like the moronic caller today, also implying that "pertinent parts" of the conversation were left out or edited out?   Really???

I don't think you're obtuse @XenaLee .  I think you are unable or unwilling to debate the fact that it's a memo and titled as such, and I think when President Trump says it's a word for word "transcript," and repeats it, and repeats it, you accept it.  I would like to see the original in the super secret server.  I don't know that I will see it, but I'm very certain the rats will see the "perfect call," in all it's glory.  I don't trust the President because IMO he's got a huge track record of telling yarns.  Really.

https://qz.com/1717869/why-its-wrong-to-call-the-white-house-ukraine-memo-a-transcript/

On September 25, the White House released what it called a “full, unredacted transcript” of US president Donald Trump’s phone call with president Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine. In the fine print, though, it specifies that it’s “not a verbatim transcript of a discussion.” News outlets struggled to figure out what to call it, with the New York Times calling it a “reconstructed transcript” and the Washington Post saying “rough transcript.” Before long, #NotATranscript was trending on Twitter, as people recognized something fundamentally misleading in calling a document a “transcript” if it was not a verbatim record of what was said. But what’s behind this, and why does it matter?

No in the real world where Trump gets impeached.

I actually hope that happens as it will ensure a huge landslide for the president's re-election next year.

When you put it that way it's almost unpatriotic not to be in favor of impeachment happy77
I'm happy to tell you I hope it happens too, and I'm feeling very confident it will @Bigun

I don't want Trump impeached because I want Clinton to retain the distinction of being the only elected President to be impeached.

IMHO you are going to be disappointed there because the Dems are going to impeach Trump no matter what.  They are fully invested now.

Oh FFS.   I think that it is you that is unwilling or unable to accept the fact that the call transcript .... whether in memo form or otherwise..... accurately represents what was said on the call.  Nobody actually ON the call claims otherwise.   And just because you wet-dreamer anti-Trumpers wish it so...

it just ain't so.   :thud:

No, he didn't.   He was merely doing his job as president.  The idiot that started this mess is apparently an "aide"....apparently a hyperpartisan aide...... that overheard a conversation that, IMO, they should never have been able to overhear.   The aide interpreted the call and repeated what they think they heard (ie grapevine gossip).   Hence, the ensuing clusterf*k.

@XenaLee

Vindmann was on the call and he testified there were omissions.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/29/us/politics/alexander-vindman-trump-ukraine.html

WASHINGTON — Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman, the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, told House impeachment investigators on Tuesday that the White House transcript of a July call between President Trump and Ukraine’s president omitted crucial words and phrases, and that his attempts to include them failed, according to three people familiar with the testimony.

The omissions, Colonel Vindman said, included Mr. Trump’s assertion that there were recordings of former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. discussing Ukraine corruption, and an explicit mention by Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, of Burisma Holdings, the energy company whose board employed Mr. Biden’s son Hunter.

Colonel Vindman, who appeared on Capitol Hill wearing his dark blue Army dress uniform and military ribbons, told House impeachment investigators that he tried to change the reconstructed transcript made by the White House staff to reflect the omissions. But while some of his edits appeared to have been successful, he said, those two corrections were not made.

Bullshit.   Vindman has an agenda and is not credible.   Funny how nobody else backs up his claim.... not even Zelensky.   Why do you think that is....?

Look, I realize that you lefties are hanging your very last hope on this slim and tiny, thin thread.   But seriously...

you might want to prepare yourself (yourselves) for extreme disappointment.

Zelensky doesn't want to anger the man who froze Ukrainian defense aid against Russia.  I expect Trump to be impeached in the House.  Do you think that is unlikely?

Yeah, probably.   The Democrats are just stupid that way.   Bring it the "eff" on!

And as for Vindman... he's just another deep state operative involved (up to his eyeballs) in this coup attempt to cover up corruption by the Democrats while attempting to remove Trump.   Nice try, but no frigging ceegar and no brass ring.   But maybe, just maybe, a few nice jail cells for a few not nice deep state aholes....

Yet he didn't rehire the prosecutor nor did he open up an investigation against Biden.  Go figure.
