Trump Is Trying Hard To Thwart Obamacare. How's That Going?
« on: November 06, 2019, 03:19:12 pm »
Two years later, what has his administration done to change the ACA, and who's been affected? Below are five of the biggest changes to the federal health law under President Trump.

1. Individual mandate eliminated
2. States allowed to add "work requirements" to Medicaid
3. Cost-sharing reduction subsidies to insurers have ended
4. Access to short-term "skinny" plans has been expanded
5. Funds to facilitate HealthCare.gov sign-ups slashed

npr
If a well-regulated militia be the most natural defense of a free country, it ought certainly to be under the regulation and at the disposal of that body which is constituted the guardian of the national security.

So in other words:

1. Individual mandate eliminated = More choice (vs. NO choice) for American taxpayers.  Should have been a no-brainer, but since the rats don't have a brain among them.....

2. States allowed to add "work requirements" to Medicaid = Put back in place after Obama took it out,

https://www.dailysignal.com/2017/08/31/obama-gutted-work-requirements-welfare-trump-right-restore/

despite those work requirements having been passed legally by Congress.  Great!

3. Cost-sharing reduction subsidies to insurers have ended = In other words, the deadbeats no longer get subsidized health care.  I like it.  Why should "some" get help while others struggle under the Democrats socialist schemes?  And don't forget, Congress exempted themselves AND their staff due to unaffordability.  Ironic, and the nth of hypocrisy.

4. Access to short-term "skinny" plans has been expanded = So... more choice for American taxpayers, despite the best efforts of the Democrats to, as usual, give Americans less choice or NO choice.   Another plus!

5. Funds to facilitate HealthCare.gov sign-ups slashed = Um.... ok.   I wanted the whole damned thing repealed.  But whatever.

Obamacare died when individual mandates were eliminated.

Enrollment hasn't suffered as much as I would've thought nationally:

Since the predictable damage to the Insurance industry was accomplished by Obastardcare, that's the only way to get insurance on the private market in many states.  Mission Accomplished.  The Rats knew O'Care would probably be chipped away, but they didn't care because their objective was not to insure people, it was to destroy Insurance so people would demand nationalized health care.

What you tout there isn't a success for the people.
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16

It's a success against the people....
