I had no idea there was a nuclear power plant being built in the US. That is good to see. If people really want to move on from fossil fuel based energy, nuclear needs to be a big part of that because solar and wind can't do it alone.

Interesting...in just another year or two, hopefully this Nuclear Plant shall go on line to serve
1,000,000 homes in the Southeast U.S.

Westinghouse is no longer in bankruptcy.
In 2018, Westinghouse was acquired by Brookfield Business Partners

Westinghouse is still in the new plant design business, but has gotten out of new plant construction.

Yep it surely did, along with the now cancelled VC Summer 2 and 3. Another part of the bankruptcy was the massive hiring spree they went on in 2007-2011 when they thought  they would sell 20 to 30 new units in the US alone.

I was one of the guys laid off in August 2017 when the train wreck happened....

I was expecting Brookefield to split off the fuel business and sell it, but that has not happened yet.

As I recall in your past posts, it didn't take you too long to get the new gig, though.

Yep, I saw it coming and had an escape plan in place. Even if I had not gotten laid off I was seriously thinking about leaving thee CircleBarW Ranch.

If these plants actually open, they'll almost certainly be the last new nuclear generating plants built in the USA for a long long time.

Folks just don't want nuclear any more.
Facts, logic and truth will not change that.
