Andrew McCarthy: Trump Doral resort pick for G-7 a 'real unforced error'

    The Trump administration's decision to host next year's G7 summit at the Trump National Doral Golf Club was a "real unforced error," Fox News contributor Andrew McCarthy said Friday.

Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney made the announcement on Thursday that next year’s G-7 meeting will be held at one of President Trump’s resorts in Doral, Fla., from June 10 through 12, 2020. The White House said President Trump won't profit off the decision to host the summit at a Trump resort.

Appearing on "Outnumbered Overtime" with anchor Julie Banderas, McCarthy said the decision could play into the impeachment inquiry that House Democrats are trying to wage against Trump.

Agree 100% with McCarthy...this is a self-inflicted wound...didn't anyone stop and think what this looks like?....that is what concerns me the most..

I agree with Andy, too, and I usually do.  This is just plain dumb, and it feeds into the leftist lie that Trump is trying to enrich himself by using his office.  "Unforced Error" is a pretty good description.

I guess they were thinking that as long as Trump provided the services "at cost" and they didn't profit from it,it would be ok.

The mere appearance of impropriety makes it a no-brainer that it was a horrendously bad idea.   It also makes me wonder about Trump's supposed "genius".   On the other hand....having a lack of common sense is a known side effect or symptom of being a genius....lololol.

It's a problem when it's recognized as ammo by the people who support him.  The Rats don't need ammo, they have ammo-loading equipment to manufacture it.

I agree.....what were they thinking????..did anyone at the meeting deciding this state this may not look so good and cause all kinds of problems...well duh..it did to the point he had to cancel it...why set yourself up...another self inflicted problem

I am tired of Trump and his Admin always on defense for stupid decisions that could have been avoided...doesn't anybody on his staff have any common sense..
