House Democrat pledges 'there will be open hearings' in impeachment inquiry
By Zack Budryk - 10/20/19 11:18 AM EDT

Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday the House will hold open hearings in its impeachment inquiry into President Trump, though the pace of new revelations made it difficult to predict when that would be.

Himes dismissed concerns from House Republicans, brought up by CBS "Face the Nation" host Margaret Brennan, about lack of transparency in the inquiry.

“What is happening is that there is no way for the Republicans to defend the actions of the president here — so as a result what they’re doing is they’re attacking the process,” he said.

Himes said impeachment proceedings for Presidents Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon had been more transparent than the current inquiry specifically because they had been based on existing investigations compiled by special prosecutors.

Let me speculate here a bit.   There have been ongoing "investigations" for the past three years by Democrats.... yet why no special prosecutors?   Could it be, perhaps, because despite ongoing witch hunt investigations (harassments).... they have found nothing to prosecute?   Nah!   Couldn't be.   The Democrats wouldn't have done that, would they?

I don't think we've had a Special Prosecutor law since Clinton.  Instead we have "Special Counsel" which is not quite the same thing.

Meaningless promise. Nothing prevented open hearings in the first place. Nothing but Dems' need to conceal prevents releasing testimony transcripts.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Posted this on another thread today:

Once the investigation is completed, the committee will report the full evidence to the House and the American people.  Then, the House will vote to impeach or not.

I recently read the Democrats want this House vote and the Senate trial (if the House does impeach) over by the end of the year as January begins the campaign season.

Of course there will be a "report," in fact two.  One from Schiff and another one from the Ranking Member for the Minority.  Will all the evidence also be presented, including the transcripts of all testimony in support of the reports?  I think this is why it's the Intel Committee handling the Impeachment, to make it easier/expected to hide it all for "National Security reasons."

They say they want resolution before the end of the year, but do you believe them?  Why would they want to remove what they see as their best campaign weapon against Trump going into 2020.  It doesn't make any sense to believe them.
