Two officials familiar with the matter said the internal memo by the top American diplomat in northern Syria, William Roebuck, takes the administration to task for not doing enough to prevent Turkey’s invasion of the region and protect U.S.-allied Kurdish fighters there.

Turkey invaded days after President Donald Trump ordered the small number of U.S. special forces in the area to leave, ostensibly so they would not be caught in a crossfire between the Turks and Kurds.

The cities of Sere-Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), Tal Abyad (Gre-Spi) and Afrin have witnessed a large wave of displacement, including the Christian component, due to the Turkish military attacks, amid fears of shelling and massacres on the civilians, as they live in difficult conditions in the areas of displacement after they left their homes. Around 700 Christian families from Ras al-Ain, Tal Abyad and Afrin have arrived in Kobani, in northern Syria.


Firas, a cleric at Kobani church of (al-Ekhowa) told North-Press that the Turkish military attacks and its affiliated armed opposition groups have left residents with great fear which led them to be displaced from their areas, as those armed groups target all components.

If Turkey had Syrian refugee's he wanted to send home they should go to their homes.  Not take the lands of Christians and Kurds.

This is Jihad, and has always been wrong to people who value freedom.  What we have allowed here is terrorism and I wonder where Paula White is?  Where is Robert Jeffres?,... Jerry Falwell Jr.????  We support ethnic cleansing of Christians now?

US claims to Syria’s oil fields are absolutely illegitimate and have no basis in international law, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said, according to Turkish television.

“They [the US] acknowledge and openly state that they are present there [in Syria] because of oil fields. No one has a right to Syrian resources. They came here, across thousands of kilometers, and said ‘We will evaluate the oil fields of this country’. This contradicts the norms of international law,” Cavusoglu said, his remarks cited by the A Haber tv channel.

The man who said this, appears in the news a lot, so sort of the 2nd man in power I'd say. Another person who held that position resigned, he might not have had a good conscience with all that goes on in Turkey.
