Congressional Democrat says House Oversight Committee could investigate Barr-Murdoch meeting

Rep. Harley Rouda said an investigation into Attorney General William Barr's recent meeting with Fox Chairman Rupert Murdoch would be within the House Committee on Oversight and Reform's "purview."

The California Democrat, who sits on the committee, shared his thoughts on the pair's meeting, which was followed by the sudden departure of Fox's Shepard Smith, while speaking with SiriusXM’s The Dean Obeidallah Show on Friday.

“Now Shepard Smith resigns today, companies can do what they want, but is it proper, and is it something Oversight would look at why the United States attorney general, who is so close to Trump, went to meet with a media outlet to discuss things, or is that not within your purview?” Obeidallah asked.

“I think it is within our purview because we want to know, because you raise a very, very important question here,” Rouda said. “What the hell is the attorney general of the United States doing meeting with ... the head of Fox? And for what purpose could that possibly be, especially in light of the fact this is happening exactly at the same time the president of the United States is saying Fox News isn’t being kind enough to him?”

Rouda defeated Rohrabacher, pretty much by lying that as a fformer Republican he was centrist.

Lately he's moving on to the public stage, with partisan statements.

This district is one of the ones, the deems likely stole by vote mining.

It was solidly GOP for decades.

GOP isn't GOP any longer.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

Rouda defeated Rohrbacher because of a new California law that dictates all votes delivered from a voting precinct be counted as legit.  It allowed precinct workers to inflate their vote totals, allowing them to snag every single Congressional district in heavily Republican Orange County.  Rohrbacher's district saw a whopping 68% increase in turnout from the previous off year election.

And as usual, the GOP did nothing to stop it.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.
