Everything You’re Hearing About Impeachment Is a Lie

RUSH: Okay. Look at me. Stop what you’re doing and look at me. Look at the radio. Pay attention. The one thing that will get you through this and the one thing that you have to understand, is practically everything in the media about impeachment is a lie. Everything is a lie. There isn’t any of it that is true, except if you switch things and have it apply to things the Democrats have done. Then most of it becomes true. None of this is true! It is the most amazing thing, and they continue to make it up as the days and the hours go by.

They make it up to fit whatever objection is raised. They make it up to fit whatever suspicion is raised about what they’re doing. There are no boundaries here, folks. They’re gonna get rid of Donald Trump by hook or crook no matter what, and it doesn’t matter how. It doesn’t matter the mechanism. It doesn’t matter the validity. They’re going to do it. They have intended to do it since election night of 2016. The lies are too numerous for me to list here rat-tat-tat-tat, although I’m gonna give you one of the biggest. One of the lies that pretty much gives away everything else is Adam Schiff.

I still can’t believe that… And I’m not trying to make this about me. I can’t believe that I’m the only one who saw this at the moment it happened and had a visceral reaction to it! Adam Schiff lied through his teeth as the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee when he said that he was “doing a parody.” He was simply “characterizing” the president’s call. “He said, ‘I want you to dig up dirt on my opponent. Dig up as much as you can. Make it up! And don’t get back to me ’til you do.'” That didn’t happen!

So the real question: If the case for getting rid of Trump is so obvious, why are they having to lie about every aspect of it? The question answers itself. Trump has not committed an impeachable offense in any way, shape, manner, or form. Now you know what we’ve learned? We learned that the whistleblower statute was changed one month before they put this into gear, eliminating firsthand knowledge. The whistleblower doesn’t have to have firsthand knowledge. The whistleblower can engage in hearsay.

You think that’s coincidental? This thing has been planned as part of the Trump-Russia collusion plan. This is all being rolled out in phases, as every element fails in its objective to get rid of Trump. There were two other noteworthy things over the weekend. It’s hard to pick out one or two of these as noteworthy because I think all of this is noteworthy. I think all of this is just a crying shame. I think all of this is literally outrageous. I think all of this does represent that there is a coup going on, and I think that there is a Cold Civil War taking place.

The first thing that happened was John Brennan. Now, John Brennan’s hands are as dirty as Obama’s in this whole thing. John Brennan (you probably have forgotten) traveled to Ukraine back in the time period around 2016 under a fake passport so it wouldn’t be known that he had gone, and he was arranging data on the dossier and all of the other dirt that they were trying to amass. Ukraine — not Russia, Ukraine — is the center of the universe of all this. Now, over the weekend John Brennan, Obama’s director of CIA — a man who voted for the Communist Party candidate in 1976!

John Brennan is among the radical leftists who personally, viscerally despise Donald Trump. He signaled everybody in the deep state to attack the president. Here’s the tweet: “A reminder to federal officials: There is no limit on the number of individuals who can use the whistleblower statute. If you think you were involved in unlawful activity as a result of a directive from Mr. Trump or someone doing his bidding, now is the time to report it.” Brennan just sent out a call to everybody in the administrative state to come forward and be your own whistleblower.

He’s giving them cover. He’s telling them, “Come forward! We’ll protect you. You can make it up. ‘If you think you were involved in unlawful activity as a result of a directive… now is the time to report it.” No limit on the number of people who can be whistleblowers! By the way, the theme of the audio sound bites today is me being on the cutting edge of everything. Things I predicted, things I said, are being echoed all over the place. Like I said last Friday, “The real whistleblower in this country is Donald Trump.

“He’s the real whistleblower. He’s blowing the whistle on the decades of corruption inside the Washington Beltway, throughout the administrative state.” I was thrilled to see Stephen Miller, who is Trump’s point man on immigration in the administration, actually call it the same thing. He said, “Trump is the whistleblower,” because Trump is blowing the lid on all these people and threatens to blow it even more, and that’s why he’s gotta be stopped. I predicted Hillary Clinton’s getting ready to get back in, seek the presidency. There’s a bunch of reasons for it.

It’s what it’s really all about. It’s about fixing 2016. She was supposed to be president, because if she was president, every damn one of these people that’s engaged in trying to get Trump would be protected. The FBI would be protected. Brennan, Clapper would be protected. Comey would be protected. That was the idea. If Hillary gets elected, then all of the stuff they did during the campaign to try to derail Trump would have been covered up forever. We’d a never known. Now we’re on the verge of learning it, hopefully, and they don’t want that to happen.

These people do not want any sunlight on everything they’ve been doing to overturn the election to try to deny Trump the electoral victory. With Hillary back in the White House, everything would be fine. There would be a giant blanket thrown on everything. Nobody would know anything. That was the objective in 2016. Of course, she’s the one who got the shaft, supposedly. She was supposed to win. Everybody knew it! Something happened, something went wrong. She didn’t win it. I mean, there’s so much tied up in this.

But now you’ve got John Brennan — who I’m telling you, folks, is filthy and a scourge — sending out a call to everybody in the deep state to come forward if they even think they might know something that Trump did. Trump has not done anything impeachable. They wouldn’t be having to make up all these lies if he had! They wouldn’t be having to work as hard as they’re working to convince people that Trump is a reprobate if they had actual evidence of Trump committing impeachable offenses. But they don’t.

The next thing that happened that really made me blow my gasket was this story that’s the whistleblower fears for his or her safety and is now under federal protection. You mean the kind of safety Steve Scalise didn’t have when he got shot by a deranged Bernie Sanders supporter? Remember how everybody ran to the microphones, “We can’t blame Bernie! We must not blame Bernie. We must not.” Right. Oh, of course nobody is gonna blame Bernie. We’re gonna blame Trump for everything Looney Tune radical leftists do!

Why not blame Bernie? He’s the guy making people insane on his side of the aisle! Hillary Clinton’s helping in making ’em insane! Nancy Pelosi’s now contributing to the insanity of the left, as is everybody that’s working this issue. Why not blame ’em? Christine Blasey Ford? No, the point is the run a story claiming the whistleblower — who doesn’t even have firsthand knowledge! The whistleblower… Because of a change in the statute a month before all this, a change in the statute, whistleblowers don’t have to have firsthand knowledge.

A friend of mine asked me a question over the weekend, “Hey, Rush, if the whistleblower only knows what he was told, then why aren’t the people who actually have firsthand knowledge doing the whistleblowing? Why aren’t they blowing the whistle?” (chuckles) Well, my friends, that question answers itself. But I will endeavor to answer. It’s because they can’t risk being identified. A CIA agent is who the whistleblower supposedly is, according to the New York Times. “Why would the New York Times out a CIA agent?”

They didn’t out anybody! The New York Times think they’re adding credibility to the guy by claiming he’s a CIA agent, or her. They’re not outing anybody! Remember Valerie Plame? She was a CIA agent, and a guy went to jail for leaking her name, and he didn’t even do it! The guy that did it worked for Colin Powell — and not a damn thing happened to him — Richard Armitage. No. They identified a leaker as CIA because that’s supposed to give the leaker credit with the American people, because everybody trusts intelligence agencies.

They weren’t outing anybody.

So the CIA agent here that’s been placed in the White House to spy on Trump — with secondhand, thirdhand knowledge — now goes and acts as a whistleblower, and is afraid that he might be murdered by Trump. That’s the story. They had to protect him. Federal protection! He was afraid, feared for his life. Yeah, like Trump is gonna go get him. And then they actually said, “The whistleblower may have point. You see what Trump did? Trump said he wants to confront his accuser! Trump says he has a right. The whistleblower is right to be afraid.”

Really? Really? We’re gonna go down this road? Donald Trump wants to murder the guy in a meeting? Donald Trump wants to murder or wound or inflict torture on the whistleblower, and so the whistleblower is afraid? The whistleblower is the most protected, popular, safe person in this country! The entire left is looking out for whoever this is, and yet they have to run a story — and the Drive-Bys trumpet it to the heavens — that the whistleblower’s afraid of being murdered! That’s what the story was. “Fears for safety” means “afraid of being killed.”

That’s a lie. That’s an exaggeration. All of this is just compounding on itself. But you have to ask yourself: If Trump is so easily removed, if Trump is so egregious and has committed so many repugnant acts, why do you have to build a case made on so many lies? Why not just tell people the truth of what Trump did? Well, because the truth doesn’t get ’em anywhere near impeachment. The truth gets them nearer jail. The truth gets them near a problem. That’s what they’ve got to keep covered up. That’s what they’ve got to shift.

They have to shift the aura of suspicion away from them themselves and on to Trump — and, of course, with the aid and assistance of the Drive-By Media, they can do just that, and they are. So Steve Scalise. I mean, here’s a guy practicing baseball, readying for a game against the Democrats. He gets shot by a Crazy Bernie guy. Here’s Christine Blasey Ford who comes out of nowhere with one lie after another — not even her best friend believed it — about Brett Kavanaugh. She was protected. She was pampered. She’s gonna have documentaries made, books written.

She has been made wealthy because of all of this. She should have been sued as well as everybody else that was part of that scam. Washington Examiner: “Whistleblower Fears Being Put in Harm’s Way by Trump and His Allies.” You know the truth is, Trump doesn’t have any allies that are gonna go anything for him on defense here. Where were the Republicans conducting hearings into what Biden and his kid were doing? Where was that when Obama and Biden were in the White House? Where was the same kind of scrutiny on the executive branch that we’re getting now?

Nobody has anything to fear from the Republicans in this! (chuckles) Republicans are gonna go grab guns and start shooting the whistleblower? Are we insane here? The fact of the matter is, Donald Trump’s out there practically by himself on this. “The intelligence community whistleblower who raised concerns about Trump’s phone call with the…” And, by the way, Pelosi says that’s it. That’s why we’re impeaching. Pelosi says that Trump asked the president of Ukraine for assistance in the 2020 campaign. He did not!

He didn’t do what Schiff said.

He didn’t act like a mob boss.

Do you know that there…? I mentioned this on Friday. There is a statute — it’s a treaty, actually — that goes back to 1999, signed by Slick Willie. It’s a mutual pact between us and Ukraine for joint prosecution of corruption. President Trump, by asking the president of Ukraine to look into items of corruption, just happened to involve Biden and his kid. President Trump was following the law! But the Democrats are lying. “He’s acting like a mob boss! He’s telling this guy, ‘Make it up and don’t get back to me ’til you do. I want to hear the right thing.

“If not, I’m not gonna send you any money.” Well, the money had already been sent! The president of Ukraine didn’t even know that there’d been a stop put on it. There’s nothing they are saying about this that is true, which leads me to another observation. Why all of the defeatism on our side? And I don’t mean among you. I’m talking about our intelligentsia. I’m talking about Republicans and conservatives in Washington, in media. Why all the defeatism? Why all the defections at Fox News? Why all of the sudden, “Ah, I can’t defend Trump anymore. This is too much. I can’t.”

I’ll explain and answer all of this, folks.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I have to make a correction, folks. The statute, the whistleblower statute was not changed. It’s even more insidious than that, in a way. The statute requiring firsthand knowledge — whistleblowers being able to say they actually saw or heard what they’re reporting. The internal proceedings of the inspector general and of the intel agencies was what was changed. The statute never required firsthand knowledge. Instead, firsthand knowledge was always a requirement of the inspector general in the procedures for reviewing any complaint.

So the statute never required firsthand knowledge, but the IG setting up requirements demanded it. If we’re gonna have a whistleblower, we’re gonna have to have a whistleblower that knows from direct knowledge what was said or what was done. In other words, the whistleblower had to be an eyewitness or an earwitness. That is what has changed, and they did it very shortly before this complaint got filed. They did this, I think, within 30 days, if I’m not mistaken. They changed the internal process in order to allow hearsay complaints.

Now, everybody that’s looked at this knows that this complaint was written by lawyers, not intelligence people. In fact, it’s being praised! It’s being held up as an example for would-be writers as a teaching tool, this complaint. I think it was written by House Intelligence Committee staffers, if you want to know the truth. I can’t prove it. But since we don’t need direct, firsthand knowledge, I’m gonna blow the whistle on the House Intelligence Committee. These are people that know this system cold, by the way. This thing as a blatant, total setup — carefully thought through, brilliantly conceived, flawlessly executed so far.

RUSH: I also saw something, speaking of all this… I really hope I’m misunderstanding Grassley.

Did you see what Chuck Grassley said over the weekend? You know what makes him mad about all this? Okay, now, you get ready for this — and I like Senator Grassley. He was great during the Blasey Ford stuff when he found his sea legs, once the Republicans finally figured out the Democrats were running another scam. Why does it take us so long to realize they’re running scams when that’s all they do? This is a scam. There’s nothing legit here. There’s no truth. They’re having to make it up — and I’ve got more on that coming.

But Senator Grassley said that what really upsets him is that is the Democrats are not including the Republicans in the House in the impeachment process. What? Now, I hope that what he meant was that he’s heard the Democrats are not gonna even allow the Republicans to interrogate witnesses. But here’s a guy, the senator from Iowa… This is the problem. If I’m wrong about this… He has accepted the impeachment business. (muttering) “Well, they’re gonna do this.” Mitch McConnell did too. The Turtle said, “Hey, if we do it, there’s gotta be a trial.”

There’s nobody in official Republican stratas that’s trying to refute this! They’re all dealing with it as though it’s a fait accompli. It’s not a fait accompli. But, see, there’s a whole different mentality about this stuff when you live in the Beltway. There’s an entirely different attitude, mental awareness. There’s an entirely different existence living in Washington, D.C. “Oh, the Democrats are gonna impeach? Oh, okay! Well, they better play fair with the Republicans.”

Really?

That’s the reaction?

I just hope that I’m misunderstanding it. Kamala Harris, the bottom has fallen out of her campaign. She’s going nowhere in it. She was on PMSNBC over the weekend and said, “Impeachment hearings won’t take long since Trump has confessed,” and who else did I hear say that? I can’t remember. I heard it and mentioned it. I talked about it on Friday, that somebody’s out there saying Trump has “confessed.” It might be a media person. Trump hasn’t confessed to anything! I’m telling you, folks, there’s not one thing these people are saying that is not a lie.

Now, last Wednesday… You know, it’s obvious Willie Brown did not pick Kamala Harris for her brain, which is the case with most philanderers. The brain is the last thing in a you’re interested in if you’re a philanderer. (interruption) What, is that too mean? I’m not being too mean. I’m being realistic! You know this. If you’re philander, brain is the last thing you care about. Obviously, Willie Brown didn’t care about her brain. Last Wednesday, Fredo Cuomo’s brother Andrew… (chuckling) You know what he was at?

He was attending “an event on ‘political civility’ with … Chris Christie.” (laughing) Why does that make me laugh? Political civility! Anyway, Fredo’s brother is there with Chris Christie, and Andrew Cuomo “offered a sharp rebuke of the Democrats’ [attempt] for impeachment, blaming ‘leftist’ Democrats for forcing Congress to begin an impeachment inquiry into President Trump. Cuomo… felt the ‘quote unquote inquiry’ was a result of Democratic radicals in Congress pushing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, to engage in an ultimately pointless exercise that would just result in political gridlock.”

Cuomo said, “There is a heightened leftist component of the Democratic Party that she was feeling pressure from.” Well, it’s most of the party, Andrew. I always thought you were part of it! When you said be happy if conservatives left the state, didn’t think it was friendly place for conservatives or a suitable place. But, anyway, he’s right. He’s right. The Democrat Party — home and champion of the little guy, home and champion of tolerance and compassion — doesn’t give a rat’s iota about things that matter to the American people. They have said so.

There’s not gonna be action on anything, including things leftists care about. Climate change? There isn’t gonna be any action on that. Nothing! It is all-in on impeachment and getting rid of Donald Trump, to the point that Pelosi said… You Democrats, hear me on this: Nancy Pelosi said it’s worth losing the House! Wait a minute. Why is that even a possibility if this is so necessary? If Trump is such a skunk, if Trump is such a scalawag, if Trump is such a reprobate, if he’s such a bad guy, how could you possibly lose the House doing this? Why wouldn’t you win all 435 seats?

It’s all lies, my friends.

Should Trump Focus His Campaign on the Democrats’ Impeachment Obsession?

RUSH: I want to ask you all a question here, a “strategerical” question. There are many ways Trump can deal with this, and there probably are as many ways he can deal with it as there are people who have ideas. So I want to run one by you. Trump does this occasionally. He does it verbally. What do you think — and I’m genuinely asking you. What do you think of Trump making the case as often as he can, of how many hours or days (or however he wants to add them) they’re spending on impeachment and not spending on things that matter to people?

Reducing drug prices, energy, health care, the wall, runaway immigration, the basic issues that presidential elections are about. Because it is obvious: The Democrat Party has decided none of that is going to be part of their presidential campaign. They have thrown every egg into the impeachment basket. They are going… In fact, “Nancy Pelosi: ‘Doesn’t Matter’ if Impeachment Costs Democrats the House.” That’s how important this is to whatever.

She “said Saturday that pursuing an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump is worth House Democrats losing a majority. Appearing at the Texas Tribune’s Tribune Fest, Pelosi stated it’s more important for Congress to uphold its duty of holding the president accountable than maintaining power over the lower chamber.” It is clear that the radical left has now succeeded in taking over this party, although I don’t know where the dividing line is ’cause I don’t think much of this party isn’t radical left. But I’m just asking.

As an electoral aid, as a campaign issue, is it helpful?

Do you think Trump should constantly remind people how many days, how many hours the Democrats are spending on this while ignoring everything that matters to people? Public policy issues that matter to people. While Trump is trying — and makes the point in so doing, that the Democrats do not want the American people to benefit a whit in the next year. It’s obvious the Democrat Party is not concerned about you at all. They don’t care about your taxes. They don’t care about your health care. They don’t care about the price of prescription drugs.

They don’t care about runaway immigration. They don’t care about homelessness. They don’t care about anything. They have signaled that they’re not even gonna seek the presidency on those issues. The only issue is Donald Trump must be impeached. Now, Pelosi also said that there might be a formal vote in December! That’s still three months, or — depending on where in December — two, 2-1/2 months. Which means that all of 2020, as far as the Democrats are concerned, is gonna be impeachment.

In the House, nothing’s gonna happen except impeachment, preparing the articles, assigning the House managers, and then sending the case over to the Senate where there would be a trial. That’s it! Meaning, Trump can position himself… He’s not “positioning.” It’s where he is. Trump’s actually trying to solve things! (chuckling) He’s actually trying to fix things, and he has fixed many. He has improved many, and he’s continuing to work on them, and he’s getting literally no assistance. And the Democrats have signaled that there will be nothing happening from now until the end of 2020 that has anything to do with the American people.

You do not factor in the Democrats’ future for the next 15 months. Do you think Trump should do that? Would that be beneficial? I’m not saying don’t respond to any of this. He can respond to it, ’cause he’s going to anyway. But that’s what elections are about. Not to mention Trump’s base is gonna be showing up in droves to do what they can to punch Democrats in the nose at the ballot box. So I’d like to hear your thoughts on that.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Do you remember during the 2018 midterm campaign (and even previous campaigns), what was one of the Democrat mantras? The mantra was, “We can make Washington work. We can govern. Republicans can’t. Republicans don’t care. Republicans don’t care about representing you. (sputtering) Republicans can’t cross the aisle. Republicans can’t work. Republicans do gridlock.” Remember that? Remember gridlock, how that was the worst thing ever when the Republicans were responsible for it?

Well, let me ask a question. Now that Democrats run the House, why do they not have to prove that they can govern? The GOP had to. The GOP majority had to prove they could govern, and they proved they couldn’t govern. That was part of the campaign in 2018. Why do the Democrats get a pass on this? Why do the Democrats get to say to the American people, “To hell with what you care about for the next 18 months, 15 months,” whatever it is? Look at all of the money, look at all of the time, look at all of the energy the Democrats are not spending on the American people.

Look at all of the time, all of the money, all of the energy spent exclusively since 2016 on getting Donald Trump thrown out of office. In the meantime, not a thing is being done to improve health care, which matters to a lot of people. The only things that have been done that have made the economy better for people are Donald Trump policies, that the Democrats opposed every step of the way and are promising to unwind if they win the presidency. What’s the Democrats’ answer to everything? Give somebody a thousand dollars! Give everybody 500 bucks!

The Democrats are spending no time whatsoever because they have no interest whatsoever in serving or protecting or even defending the American people. Everybody admits we got a crisis on the border. We have a crisis with mass illegal immigration. Democrat Party? “No big deal! Not gonna deal with it. Gotta get rid of Donald Trump.” Take whatever issue mattering most to you that must have action in Washington to deal with it. I’m not talking about things you can take care of yourself. We all love self-reliance here.

I’m talking about policy-oriented things — the reason you voted for one candidate or another — and now realize the Democrat Party’s not even on the field. They’re not on that field. They could not care less about the American people. They could not care less about the problems or the fears or the challenges that are faced by the American people. They couldn’t care less about the homeless and squalor in their own state of California.

Democrats in droves are leaving their own states and moving south and corrupting Republican states when they get there. But they’re unhappy where Democrats are running things, and the Democrat response is, “(Raspberry!) Don’t have time for you right now. Gotta get rid of Donald Trump.” By the way, here is Pelosi and in Austin, I just want you to hear it from her own mouth. Are you ready?

PELOSI: People say, “You have to take a political risk doing that.” That it doesn’t matter! That it doesn’t matter. Because we cannot have a president of the United States undermining his oath of office, his loyalty to his oath of office, undermining our national security, and undermining the integrity of our elections.

RUSH: Well, she went on to say that it doesn’t even matter if they lose the House. Why would they lose the House doing this? How in the world would that happen? The only way that would happen is if the American people want no part of this, if the American people wanna punish them for doing this — which is what happened to the Republicans after impeached Clinton and did the trial there.

Why would do the Lord’s work here — which is (impression) “protecting the Constitution and making sure the president doesn’t undermine the oath of office.” Why wouldn’t that make them heroes and heroines and why wouldn’t they win every seat in the House? What do you mean, she’s willing to lose the House doing this? Because she knows that they have simply swept aside to irrelevance the things that matter to the American people.

CALLER: We are seeing Trump, in a panoramic view, do what every single person in an abusive relationship has to deal with. We’re watching him have to deal with the haranguing of the continuous, “It’s your fault! It’s your fault! You’re the guilty one. You’re the one who caused this problem. We would treat you nice if you would play nice. If you would be good and be obedient to us, like other Republicans have done through the generations…” I’m just so proud of him for standing up and doing what is right in the face of abuse, which is all this is.

RUSH: All right. No, no, no. I was wondering where you were going with this, and then you closed the loop on it and I finally got it. Trump is the only guy standing up in a relationship where he’s being abused — and, boy, if this isn’t abuse, I don’t know what it is. This is beyond abuse! This is slander, this is libel, this is everything people hate about politics on steroids, and he’s standing up to it. You are exactly right.

They are spending federal tax dollars — your tax dollars — to pay for not serving you, not working on things that matter to you and to the whole country for the next 15 months.

If the Case Against Trump Is So Strong, Why Do Democrats Have to Make It Up?

RUSH: Here’s another lie. The whistleblower’s lawyer is saying no deal has been reached with Congress on testimony, but talks are ongoing. What a crock! The deal has been made! All of this is made to look like, “The whistleblower’s unsure and the whistleblower may not want to do it. The whistleblower’s scared! The whistleblower…” This deal was hatched months ago. It is being unfolded on a schedule, and this news that the whistleblower’s attorney, “Well, we’re not sure we’re gonna talk to the Congress yet. We’re still negotiating that. We haven’t…”

What a crock. This is all gonna happen. All of this, every bit of this is fake news. It is designed to create one illusion after another. It’s no different than the story about the whistleblower fearing for his or her life. Now the whistleblower’s lawyer is out there saying, “No, no, no. It’s not really true. Not really. No, that’s not… That’s not… No, it hadn’t…” But it was all over 60 Minutes last night and other newspapers picked it up, so it’s out there. The whistleblower is afraid Trump’s gonna kill him or her. Now the lawyer says, “Well, no, no, no. That’s not what really happened.”

Folks, this is a symphony, and there are movements, and there are crescendos — and you’re being played! You are being played like you are watching a symphony unfold, and you don’t know what’s coming next, but they do. They’ve got the notes on the page. I happened across something here in the break at the top of the hour. It’s a piece by Derek Hunter at Townhall, and it is about one of the things I mentioned at the very beginning of the program, how all of this is lies. All of this is lies — and why? If the case against Trump is a slam-dunk, why do they have to lie about anything?

Anything! This is Mr. Hunter’s point. Here’s headline: “If the Case for Trump’s Impeachment Is So Strong, Why Are Liberals Lying About It?” Let me give you some pull quotes from the piece. Well, here’s how it opens: “Lying takes a lot of effort, telling the truth is easy. When you start lying you have to remember which lie you told [who], and as the truth begins to creep out, as it always does, you find yourself scrambling to twist it to fit back into your lie. Democrats, both in Congress and the media,” I’m so glad he words it that way.

That’s… You know, I’m not gonna give up Drive-By Media, but it’s “Democrats in the media, Democrats in Congress, Democrats in the think tanks,” ’cause they’re all Democrats, or whatever you want to call ’em. Leftists, liberals, communists, socialists, take your pick. “Democrats, both in Congress and the media, are finding this out the hard way this week with their latest ‘Trump is corrupt and must be impeached’ lie. Most people learn that honesty is the best policy when they’re kids, but politicians and journalists are now overgrown, overpaid kids.”

It’s worse than that. These are adults who know exactly what they’re doing. They are structuring, they have composed, they have conceived — and are now executing — a series of operations that began in 2015 and continue to unfold as each phase of the operation fails. Mueller failed. Trump-Russia collusion failed. Getting Flynn and Manafort failed to get Trump. Everything they’ve tried has failed. The objective: Get rid of Trump. Get him thrown out of office. Make him resign. Force the American people to go to Washington and forcibly remove him.

Nothing’s worked.

Everything’s failed.

This is the next phase.

So here are some pull quotes from the piece. “They hate the president so much they are not going to let a little thing like having to lie deter them. They want him gone and are willing to lie to make it happen. Trump Derangement Syndrome is the Kool-Aid at Jonestown.” Another pull quote: “None — not the Democrats,” not the Democrats in the media, or even the Republican “never-Trumpers — seem remotely bothered by the fact that every claim” that they have made has “turned out to be false.” Boy, is that ever true!

And one of the things it’s made me ask: Where are the American people? This did not happen in a vacuum, and it did not happen under cloak of darkness. For two years, five times a day the American people heard that Trump colluded with Russia, and that Robert Mueller was gonna produce the evidence after a long investigation. It was a slam dunk. Numerous sources — and I’m not exaggerating. The Times, the Post, CNN. You add ’em all up, there were five — minimum five — different stories a day, all with anonymous leaks, veritably confirming Trump had stolen the election.

He had colluded with Russia! He had cheated. He had rigged it. We had two years of that, and nothing happens? The famed Bob Mueller comes out with his report and there wasn’t any of that in it and Trump is still there? There wasn’t any collusion. There wasn’t any obstruction. It was false. It was a lie. None of it was true. There is a price to pay for that. These people are so blind to it. “Nope! Never mind! Next phase, next lie, next series of lies,” which will be exposed as lies as well. These people think that they’re gonna be forgiven or I don’t know what.

Not paid attention to, or that the American people who buy what they say every day will just come to expect that what they hear and read isn’t true? I don’t know what they expect from this. Well, actually I do. You know what? They don’t care what you think, when it gets down to it. The audience for this is, of course, you. But it’s primarily other journalists and other deep staters. Of course, I think there’s another part of this that we need to make obvious right now that nobody’s spoken about that I know of — and maybe somebody else has brought it up.

I think that there is also an effort here to negatively impact Donald Trump the person, his health. I think they’re trying to make him sick. I think they’re trying to pressurize him so much. I think that all of this is designed to make him physically ill, unable to cope, go on, what have you. This is intense… We had a caller earlier saying that this is abuse. It’s classic abuse, and most abusees eventually sue for peace to stop it. The abused get Stockholm syndrome, whatever. They become docile, and they beg for it all to end.

And they do whatever they have to for it to end, and the abuser always wins, and then the abusee denies having been abused, gets mad at people that want to punish the abuser! Trump is the lone exception. He’s standing up to it, getting stronger in the process. But I think that one of the other objectives here in addition to everything else is to literally make him sick, so that he can’t do the job. Not just mentally. I’m talking about physically sick. There aren’t any boundaries, in other words, in what these people are attempting to do.

There isn’t any compassion in it. There isn’t any concern for America in it happening. This is all about them and their power. It is about nothing else. It’s not about doing the right thing for America because they’re not. It’s not about the Constitution. It’s not about “American values.” It’s not about “American principle.” It’s not about any of that. It’s about them and their embarrassment over having lost to this guy despite the fact that they’re the ones that rigged the deck! They’re the ones that rigged the game! They’re the ones working with the Russians!

They’re the ones that had phony FISA warrants to spy on Trump! They’re the ones that did all of this that they can’t afford for people in the hinterlands to ever learn about. It isn’t about what’s best for America. They don’t even care about that! They don’t care about issues that matter to you, to your family, to your life. They don’t care about infrastructure. They don’t care about modernizing anything. They don’t care about fixing homelessness. They don’t care about the economy, your job situation.

They certainly don’t care about fixing what’s wrong with health care. They certainly don’t care about the open-border circumstance, illegal immigration and the hell that that’s creating. They don’t care about homelessness in their own cities! They don’t care to fix anything. They’re not even interested in what matters to you, and they have publicly said so! With Pelosi even acknowledging that this effort is so serious, it’s even worth losing the House over. “When you embrace and repeat something you know to be false, you are lying.

“If the evidence were there,” then you’d have that. There wouldn’t be any need to lie. “It’s precisely because the truth is not on their side that they have to lie.” Can I give you the greatest recent example this have? Audio sound bite number 2. This is it in a nutshell. Pelosi said (summarized), “We’re gonna impeach President Trump over that phone call he made to the president of Ukraine, because in that phone call, what he was doing, is he was seeking assistance in the 2020 campaign.

“He wanted the president of Ukraine to dig up dirt on his 2020 opponent!” Trump doesn’t know who his 2020 opponent is! Nobody does. Pelosi said, “You can’t do that! You can’t collude with a foreign government!” Despite the fact that Hillary Clinton did, that the FBI did, that the DOJ did, that John Brennan did, that James Clapper did, that Barack Obama and all of his people did, they say you can’t do it.

So it’s time for Adam Schiff to explain how really horrible and really dangerous and how really un-American and how rotten this was. All he had to do was tell the truth. There was a transcript of the phone call, there was a memo of the phone call, there was verbatim transcript of the phone call. Everything Trump said and that the Ukraine president said was knowable. All Adam Schiff had to do was tell people what that was, but he didn’t. This is what he did…

SCHIFF: “We’ve been very good to your country, very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what? I don’t see much reciprocity here. I hear what you want. I have a favor I want from you, though — and I’m gonna say this only seven times, so you better listen good. I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it, on this and on that. You know what I’m asking, and so I’m only gonna say this a few more times, in a few more ways. And, by the way, don’t call me again. I’ll call you when you’ve done what I ask.”

RUSH: Except none of that happened. Trump did not ask the guy to make up dirt, and it’s right there in the transcript! This is a blatant example of what I’m talking about. This kind of microcosm… This is a total lie. Trump didn’t tell anybody to dig up dirt. “Make it up. Lots of it.” He didn’t say anything seven or eight times. He didn’t tell the president of Ukraine not to get back to him until he had dug up the dirt. A flat-out lie!

Why will the truth not suffice, Pencil Neck? Why couldn’t you just read the transcript of the phone call between Trump and the Ukraine president? Why’d you have to make this up? They have to make it up because Trump didn’t do anything anywhere near an impeachable offense. And because of the treaty the U.S. has with Ukraine signed by Clinton 1999 pledging mutual cooperation in corruption investigations in the two governments, Trump was following the law asking the Ukraine president to look into Joe Biden and his corrupt kid, Hunter.

But it’s right there in the transcript what Trump said — and now we’ve got a phony baloney, plastic banana, good-time rock ‘n’ roller whistleblower report over it, even though we know what was said! The whistleblower… We know more than the whistleblower knows! The whistleblower doesn’t have any firsthand knowledge. He was fed stuff to say by people that were in that room. That would be an interesting thing to explore later: Who actually is blowing the whistle here? The whistleblower is not the whistleblower.

The whistleblower was told what to say, wrote it down with the help of a bunch of lawyers (we think) from the House Intelligence Committee staff to get this whole ball rolling. Well, who are the people that anything the whistleblower, and why didn’t they blow the whistle themselves? Why shuffle it off to the CIA agent? Why didn’t they do it? Well, it kind of answers itself, doesn’t it? They’re too close to Trump! It would shock and stun everybody.

They can’t afford for their names to be made public or they’d be immediately seen as traitors, backstabbers, you name it. So right there, folks, it is: Why make it up if the case is so strong? None of these Democrats in the media or any of the Never Trumpers they “seem remotely bothered by the fact that every claim they’ve [made] turned out to be false.” The bottom line is, they don’t have truth on their side. They don’t have presidential impeachable offenses on their side.

They are having to make all of this up. “This was a coordinated coup attempt. Democrats were tipped off about the whistleblower complaint and pot-committed themselves to it being the silver bullet they’ve desperately been seeking.” The whole thing’s orchestrated. Now the lawyer for the whistleblower says (impression), “I don’t know if we’re gonna testify. We’re still talking to the committee.” What a crock! They’ve already agreed to the date this clown’s gonna testify. They’ve already made the arrangements to keep him safe so that Trump’s associates don’t murder him.

Biden Camp Asks Networks to Ban Rudy from TV

RUSH: Now, Rudy Giuliani’s been on TV more than he’s not been on TV the last couple, three days. “Joe Biden’s presidential campaign made an extraordinary request to executives of top news channels on Sunday, asking them to no longer book … Rudy Giuliani on their programs. In a letter addressed to the heads of the major news and cable networks, as well as top news anchors, two top Biden campaign advisers make the case that by peddling routine falsehoods about the work of Biden and his son Hunter in Ukraine, Giuliani’s presence on the airwaves is editorially untenable.”

They want Rudy censored! They don’t want Rudy to be able to say what he’s saying. This is brazen. If what Rudy is saying is untrue, what’s wrong with it? If Rudy’s making a fool of himself, then use the old rule that says, “Stand aside and give the fool even more room.” Why do they want to keep Rudy off of TV if he’s so embarrassing, if he’s so screwing it up? Which is what a lot of people think. Biden and his son are guilty as sin! That’s what they’re trying to cover up here!

Biden, I think, has figured out that he is a twofer in this thing, that he’s also a target as well as Trump is! Biden’s figuring out that there are some Democrats who don’t want him to be the nominee. But just stop and think of this: The Biden campaign sent letters to the chairman of the networks and a couple of anchors asking them not to invite Rudy — in other words, to censor Rudy Giuliani. Here’s from the letter:

“We are writing today with grave concern that you continue to book Rudy Giuliani on your air to spread false, debunked conspiracy theories on behalf of Donald Trump. While you often fact check his statements in real time during your discussions, that is no longer enough. By giving him your air time [sic], you are allowing him to introduce increasingly unhinged, unfounded and desperate lies into the national conversation.” Everything they allege is what they are doing.

They are lying about Trump and they are infecting the American news consumer reservoir with their disease. They are infecting this whole country. They are lying, and they are scheming to everybody about Trump while covering up their own lies and corruption. Make no mistake that that is what is happening here. “In a text response to The Daily Beast, Giuliani said the Biden letter ‘sounds like the usual left-wing censorship. Everything I say is supported by — such as today — affidavits and statements.

“‘They are the ones who have covered up pay for play for at least five years.'” So what do you make of that? I guarantee you that if Rudy were lying, they would want more of it. They must be… If I were them, I’d be worried, too, because they are showing themselves that lies work. In their minds, they’re getting away with this. In their minds, they are getting away with lying about Trump. So they must think that lying is a great strategy. They must be confident in it because a they think it’s working.

Well, obviously they wanted want Rudy to get away with it too. But, see, the standard operating procedure would be, “If somebody’s on TV making a fool of themselves, let them,” if it’s so obvious he’s lying. But they can’t trust it. They’re demanding censorship.

Trump Approval Slightly Higher Than Obama at Same Date in Presidency

RUSH: You know there’s some interesting polling data here, folks, and this may surprise you. At this exact point in Obama’s first term, he had a 42.7% approval rating. Let’s see. That would be September 29. That was yesterday.

Barack Hussein O was at 42.7%. Trump today is at 42.8%. Donald Trump has a tenth of a point higher approval rating than Obama had this very same juncture in their first terms. “That doesn’t mean anything, Rush.” Can somebody cite for me all of the hit pieces on Obama for three years? You want to dig deep into your vast reservoir of your memories and tell me all of the negative press Obama got for three years? You can’t! He didn’t get any, not in the Drive-By Media!

Now can you cite any positive Trump news in the Drive-By Media, the Democrats in the media for the past three years? You can’t. So how do you explain this? How do you explain Trump a tenth of a point higher at 42.8%? What is this poll, by the way? The poll is Nate Silver, by the way, the guru and the god of left-wing polls and polling people and polling units and polling polls. If you ask me, Trump being a tenth of a point higher or even tied with Obama is flat-out amazing, given the nature of the news coverage for both.
