Report: Paul Ryan Pushing Fox News to ‘Decisively Break’ with Trump

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan, who currently sits on the board of Fox Corp., is reportedly urging Fox News to “decisively break” with President Donald Trump, according to a Thursday Vanity Fair report documenting the network’s “management bedlam.”

Vanity Fair’s Gabe Sherman, citing four sources, reported that Fox Corp. CEO Lachlan Murdoch, who has long tried to move Fox News to the center, “is already thinking about how to position the network for a post-Trump future.”

Ryan, the longtime Trump antagonist, has reportedly been suggesting to Murdoch that “Fox should decisively break with the president” as Murdoch holds “strategy conversations with Fox executives and anchors about how Fox News should prepare for life after Trump.”

Vanity Fair cited “an executive who’s spoken with Ryan” who simply said: “Paul is embarrassed about Trump and now he has the power to do something about it.”

If Fox wants to cut it's own throat by "breaking" with Trump, so be it.   Millions of Americans have already cut ties with Fox due to their ever-veering radically left actions.   Going against Trump would be that proverbial straw breaking the camel's back... as millions more Americans would permanently put Fox on "ignore".   Question is... are they that stupid?   Yeah.  Leftists (that are running Fox) always are.

I think the love affair between Fox and Trump is already on the skids.  Not long ago, Fox reported on a poll that was unfavorable to Trump and Trump called them on it. 

So I don't know what Ryan is excited about.  And in any event, who knows if this report is even true?  More anonymous sources which could be figments of someone's vivid imagination. 

And even if true, I don't know that Ryan would have all that much influence on what Fox News reports anyway.

Ryan seems to reside among a professional class of Republicans who value institutional affiliations and privileges over either philosophy or ideology. It was disappointing for many of us to discover this about him, since he once appeared to possess leadership potential, which involves a level of risk-taking and taking stands on issues that Professional Class Republicans avoid like the plague.

Instead and sadly, Mr. Ryan now seeks the approval of people who do not merely wish to see the GOP merely languish in perpetual minority status (as I suspect Ryan and his ilk largely and secretly desire) but those who wish to obliterate all effective opposition by whatever means necessary.     

As for FOX News, I think their best value proposition is to be truly "fair and balanced", meaning that they ought not suck up to Trump simply because the rest of the media are no longer media at all, but propagandists for the Democrat party.

Well, for a time, Fox was a propagandist for Trump.  I think that's why, when Fox reported something negative about Trump, Trump was not happy.  And when Trump isn't happy, his supporters aren't happy.

Bottom line is that Fox was never fair and balanced.  It's like every other news channel out there.  They all have an agenda.

I have long suspected that Paul,and a lot of other prominent politicians have ADHD,and this explains their LOVE for order,and that is why they go into politics instead of the wild and wooly world of business,where "they's just to dam many peep-pulls running round,making up their own minds!"
