Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election team is planning an Oct. 10 campaign rally at Target Center, but Minneapolis’ top elected officials were quick to denounce the president on Thursday after the announcement came out.

Not surprisingly, the official Twitter account of the Republican Party of Minnesota responded to the news in very different terms, describing the state’s GOP faithful as “overjoyed” by the president's fourth visit to the state in 16 months.

The news came just days after Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the House will launch an impeachment probe into allegations the president pressured Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for president and could challenge Trump in next year’s election.

The Twin Cities population is by far the largest population area in the state, and the elected offcials of Minneapolis and St. Paul are leftist stooges who are more concerned with  criminal elements being allowed to run wild than maintaining law and order.
The rest of the state is far more conservative.
In lieu of the recent beating of a white guy by a group of black thugs, Mayor Frey is far more concerned that the police be pushed down and given less authority to control criminals.
The heads of the educational systems in both cities are radical as well.
The comments of any  offcials from the Twin Cities should be taken as coming from people who think  Lenin wasn't radical enough. They're all leftist tools.

As a straight White American citizen, not being welcome by 'city officials' is a complement.
The only way you get 'welcomed' there is if you are a gay transvestite Black guy from Kenya.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

Or if you are...oh, I don't know...a woman from a third world,  female-hating, Islamic sh*thole like Somalia who gets elected to congress while slamming the country, the U.S., that allows her to live like a queen.

Minneapolis' city "leaders" should clean up the trash in their own back yards before howling about the dandelions in Trump's garden. Maybe prosecute Omar's fraud? Maybe ditch the program that got an extremely unqualified man into the PD because of his skin color and national origin, at the cost of an innocent woman's life? Maybe clean out the nest of terrorist operatives/sympathizers who keep sending people to the ME to fight against US interests?

What are the odds police security at the rally will be too insufficient and/or improperly instructed to handle the very likely violent Hate-Trumpers?

I know a president running for reelection has to play the game, but for all practical political purposes,Mn is a foreign nation.

"The president is coming to Minneapolis. Don’t expect a warm welcome from city officials."

Mr. Trump is not traveling to Minneapolis to receive a welcome from "city officials" (and other democrat-communists).

He's coming there to illustrate his remarkable popularity amongst rural Minnesotans and to rub that in the faces of those "officials" and the rest of the democrat-communists in the state.

Is there one city in the U.S. of more than one hundred thousand that has Republicans for their lead elected officials or just the mayor?

Rush had a report last week that the DFL members who work the mines and lumber industry in northern Minnesota will be voting for Trump. Their reason was that he has relaxed regulations and making them more common-sense.

Minnesota will be competitive this next election as a red-leaning purple state.

Of the 5 CA cities on that list, the only one that is a surprise - a very mild one - is San Bernardino. The 2012 bankruptcy was during a Dem mayor's administration, but since 2014 the mayors have been Rs.

I knew there was nothing to that "Minnesota nice" narrative.

I knew there was nothing to that "Minnesota nice" narrative.

It's just passive-aggressive provincialism.  Small town Minnesotans think the only way to live is their way, no matter what that way is.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.
