Democrats in Media and Democrats in Politics Collude to Create Another Fake Scandal!

RUSH: So, I’m sitting here, my friends, all morning long experiencing deja vu because we’ve been here and we’ve done that, and we’re doing it over and over and over again. And I think the Democrats’ plan is to have one of these phony scams, slash, scandals every month up until the next election.

This is as — what’s the word? — baseless as the whole Russian collusion story was baseless. This whole whistleblower thing. You know who I think the whistleblower is? I think it’s Fusion GPS. I think it’s the same players. I think it’s the same playbook, and it’s the same play. Rather than Russian interference, now it’s Ukraine, regardless, the president is meddling in the election. He meddled in the 2016 election, except that he didn’t, except that there is no evidence, there never was any evidence.

Every attempt to manufacture believable evidence failed. That’s the key. Every effort to manufacture believable evidence failed. And yet here they are again. They did Kavanaugh version 2.0. We know that Christine Blasey Ford’s best friend didn’t even believe her original story. It was politically motivated. Here we are now.

The way to look at what’s happening today with this whistleblower report, compare the whistleblower report either to the Steele dossier or to Christine Blasey Ford coming forward. The whole thing’s been manufactured. It has been planned and orchestrated between the Democrats in politics and the Democrats in media.

Adam Schiff has had the whistleblower complaint since August. They have been waiting for what they think is the opportune time to unveil this because this phone call with Ukraine happened some months ago. And so this is all tied to the House deciding, Pelosi deciding to try to convince everybody that she has actually convened impeachment proceedings, which she hasn’t.

So I’m sitting here wondering, how do we deal with this? My preference would be just to ignore it and to say the Democrats are running another scam today, folks. Pay no attention to it. But everybody does pay attention to it. Everybody reacts. The three networks broomed their soap operas today in order to cover this stuff live. The whole thing is coordinated between the Democrats in the media, the Democrats in politics. Well, I should say elected Democrats and Democrats in the media.

They’re using the same theme, that Trump’s cheating, that Trump is meddling, that Trump is a traitor, that Trump is unfit. They are prosecuting the same case over and over again, and there isn’t a shred of evidence for anything they are alleging.

This is what happens when you lose the House. When you lose the House, the Democrats run the House, they can run these carnivals and these parades and these scams. And the Republicans have to go along with it. And since the aggressor in any conflict sets the rules you gotta play by the rules the Democrats set.

So it’s frustrating for somebody like me who knows exactly what this is. This is as phony as the Trump-Russia collusion story was phony. And, you know, I always ask myself, what is mainstream America thinking about this? I ask myself, does mainstream America even know about this? Is all mainstream America knows is they think Trump has been impeached?

I still believe that mainstream America, people I’m talking about, people who make America work, I think that they are seething with rage out there. I think there is anger that is growing at all of this, because even people who pay moderate amounts of attention to this know that the Mueller report came up empty.

Trump is still president. They did everything they could. They promised people for two years that Trump had colluded, that there was evidence, that Mueller was gonna nail him. And then, of course, nothing. That didn’t happen in a vacuum. The American people know full well that there was no evidence that Trump colluded.

Now, the partisan left is not mainstream America, as far as I’m concerned. So they’re out there thinking that Trump did collude and the Democrats are just a bunch of idiots and haven’t yet found the evidence. And so they applaud scams like this that are underway to just continue the same theme.

The Democrats are continuing the same theme, believing that with their coordination with Democrats in the media, that just the overwhelming amount of news on the subject that Trump cheats, that Trump colludes, that Trump meddles, that Trump tries to arrange phony outcomes to elections, they are hoping that enough of that consistently enough will finally convince enough people that Trump did it, even though there isn’t a shred of evidence that Trump has done anything.

In fact, the meddling that was done in Russia was done by the Democrats, and the meddling that was done in Ukraine was done by the Democrats. The Democrats, three Senators in January 2017 or 2018 asked Ukraine to look into Trump colluding with Russia! The Democrats have done everything they are alleging that Trump has done.

The transcript of the call between Trump and the president of Ukraine has been released, and it’s a nothing burger. There’s nothing to it. The whistleblower desperately trying to remain anonymous. Doesn’t want anybody to know who he or she is.

I think the best way to illustrate what this is, is by actually using some sound from the hearings today. Pencil Neck Schiff is the committee chairman that is running this sham of a hearing/investigation today. He’s a congressman from California. He is the guy that colluded with comedians who called him pretending to be Russians and told him that they had evidence on Trump. They told him they had “kompromat.” Schiff fell for it hook, line, and sinker! He sets up a meeting with these guys.

They’re nothing but a couple of comedians running a scam on him. He was more than willing to collude with them in order to dig up dirt on Trump. The man is unqualified. The man is a disgrace. He is an embarrassment. He is so literally poisoned with hatred for Donald Trump that he has lost all grounding and any pretense of substance. I want to just play a couple of audio sound bites from the hearing this morning. Now, to set this up, there’s some things that you have to know. Yesterday we had a summary (kind of like a book report), a memo of the phone call between Trump and the Ukrainian president.

Remember how the original reporting on that was that Trump was supposed to have talked about Biden eight times. This is what the Washington Post and the rest of the media reported. There was supposed to have been an explicit quid pro quo offered. Trump was said to have threatened Ukraine, that if they didn’t dig up dirt on Biden and his son, that Trump was gonna withhold already promised American aid to Ukraine. They reported that! They reported that Trump said, “Hey, Ukraine, investigate Biden or you’re not gonna get any military aid money.”

All of that, the media said, came over the whistleblower; then we learn the whistleblower never heard the call! The whistleblower was told things by somebody who may have heard the call. So we have again secondhand, thirdhand, Steele dossier-type stuff here. Totally made up! What the original reporting was, was not to be found on the original summary. Then we got a transcript of the call — and again, none of what was said to have been said in that call actually was said. It was made up!

We have a fake whistleblower delivering fake news for a fake impeachment investigation for fake news ratings boosts. It is deja vu all over again! We just left this party after Mueller testified. And all this phony hysteria, frankly, to me, is a little bit exhausting. But I have to deal with it. Okay. So back to the subject. The original reporting had all of these allegations that turned out to be lies, folks. The transcript of the Trump phone call with the president of Ukraine had none of the actual allegations the whistleblower made and the media made.

It was all complete BS, and the media supposedly “fell for it” again. The media didn’t fall for anything. The media is in the middle of it. The media is orchestrating this — and again, I think the whistleblower, you’re gonna find, has ties to Fusion GPS or some organization or group related to Obama or Hillary. The same people that ran these scams: Christopher Steele, Christine Blasey Ford. Same bunch. It’s why the whistleblower is desperately trying to remain anonymous. And the media?

The media knew all this was not true, and they ran with it anyway, and they knew today that it was untrue, and they’re running with it anyway. So now the media is reduced to reading between the lines, and now they’re saying, “Well, in order to find out what Trump really said, you have to know the code that Trump uses when he speaks.” Ah, ladies and gentlemen Donald Trump doesn’t speak in code. He hits you right between the eyes with what he thinks. He doesn’t hide anything. He doesn’t use deception.

There is no codebook that you have to have to translate or decode what Trump is saying to you. This is just their attempt to cover for the fact they got caught. They got caught literally lying and making it up! They went ahead and ran this. They ran the lies of the supposed content of the phone call, and they didn’t care whether it was true or not because the point is the original report is what carries the weight, what makes the first impression.

Journalism is so gone, it’s so out the window. There isn’t any, and there certainly isn’t any anywhere to be found in this story. Okay. So nothing that the whistleblower said is true; nothing that the media reported about the phone call is true. Let’s go to Adam Schiff. This is actual audio of Adam Schiff’s actual words in his actual opening statement today, which was televised on all three cable networks and all three broadcast news networks. Listen to this…

SCHIFF: And so what happened on that call? Zelensky begins by ingratiating himself, and he tries to enlist the support of the president. He expresses his interest in meeting with the president and says his country wants to acquire more weapons from us to defend itself. And what is the president’s response? Well, it reads like a classic organized crime shakedown. Shorn of its rambling character — and in not so many words — this is the essence of what the president communicates: “We’ve been very good to your country, very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what? I don’t see much reciprocity here. I hear what you want. I have a favor I want from you, though — and I’m gonna say this only seven times, so you better listen good.”

RUSH: None of that was said, folks. The president never said any of that. He never intimated any of that. Schiff is making this up in his opening statement. But it gets worse. Here’s phase two…

SCHIFF: “I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent –”

RUSH: Stop the tape! And recue it. Adam Schiff has just made it up. Adam Schiff is a microcosm of this entire story! He sat there in his opening statement today and made it up! He just said that in the phone call between the president and the president of Ukraine that Trump said, “I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent.” Trump didn’t mention the word “dirt.” Trump didn’t ask for anything! Trump didn’t do anything near this!

Trump never has done anything like this on a phone call with a foreign leader! “I want you to make up dirt on my political opponents”? He’s making this up, literally out of thin air! The transcripts are clear! There was nothing untoward in this phone call between Trump and the president of Ukraine. The reporting on it originally was dead wrong, and yet Adam Schiff is making it up. But that’s just the opening line. Here is the entire bite. I will try not to interrupt it.

SCHIFF: “I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it, on this and on that. I’m gonna put you in touch with people, not just any people. I’m gonna put you in touch with the attorney general of the United States — my attorney general — Bill Barr. He’s got the whole weight of the American law enforcement behind him. And I’m gonna put you in touch with Rudy. You’re gonna love him. Trust me. You know what I’m asking, and so I’m only gonna say this a few more times in a few more ways. And, by the way, don’t call me again. I’ll call you when you’ve done what I asked.” This is, in sum and character, what the president was trying to communicate with the president of Ukraine. It would be funny if it wasn’t such a graphic betrayal of the president’s oath of the office.

RUSH: It’s not funny because what it is, is it’s slander. It’s libel, whatever. It is abject irresponsibility. The chairman of this committee is literally making up what he wishes Trump had said, what he was hoping Trump had said, what he was hoping the whistleblower had overheard — and since Trump didn’t say it, they’re gonna go ahead and say that he did. And they’ll deal with any fallout later. And there was. Here’s Mike Turner, who is the Republican from Ohio who is addressing this.

TURNER: While the chairman was speaking, I actually had someone text me, “Is he just making this up?” And — and, yes. Yes, he — he was. Because sometimes fiction is better than the actual words or the text. But luckily the American public are smart, and they have the transcript.

RUSH: I don’t know about that. The American people are smart, but the three networks, the three cable networks are covering this. Schiff is lying through his teeth about what the president said! How many people have read the transcript of this phone call? Schiff just made it up! “I want you to dig up dirt, a lot of it. I’m not calling you back until you’ve done what I’ve told you to do.” This is what they want people to think Trump did.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I’ve read a lot of people thinking these hearings are boring today, and they are. They have been. There’s been nothing to them, because history is repeating. It’s the same thing. It’s the Steele dossier redone. It’s Christine Blasey Ford redone. It’s an anonymous witness saying he overhead something, making something up. He can’t prove it. We don’t even know who the guy is, but here’s Adam Schiff. The big news today to me is that Schiff has just demonstrated what all this is: made up.

“I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, lots of it on this and on that. I’m gonna put you in touch with people, Rudy and Bill Barr, the attorney general — and I don’t want you to call me back. I’m not talking to you again until you get this done. I’m only gonna tell you this seven or eight times.” He’s talking about seven or eight times ’cause that’s how many times they reported that Trump referenced all this. All of this is made up! So Pencil Neck gets caught lying and making this up, and this was his mea culpa.

SCHIFF: As an aside, I want to mention that, uh, my colleague was right on both counts. Um, it’s not okay. Uh, but also my summary of the president’s call was meant to be — at least part — in parody. The fact that that’s not clear is a separate problem, uh, in and of itself. Uh, of course, the president never said, “Um, if I, uh… If you don’t understand me, I’m gonna say it seven more times.” My point is, that’s the message that the Ukraine president was receiving in not so many words. Um —

RUSH: He keeps saying it! It’s not the message the Ukrainian got. The Ukrainian president has said he never once felt pressured. President Trump never said, “I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it.” Let me tell you what. Schiff did not do parody. This is not parody. This is hatred. This is pure, unadulterated hatred on the part of Adam Pencil Neck Schiff.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: So all of this has been about reversing those election results and trying to take this away from Trump. And the reason he wants to get to the bottom of this is precisely that. He didn’t need help to win this, and they’re out there claiming that the Russians greased the skids for him and that he was helping them. So when did that all begin? That’s the relevance of CrowdStrike in Trump’s conversation with the president of Ukraine.

Now the timeline. Let’s go back to James Comey. Do you remember the Comey MO, the modus operandi? James Comey had a bunch of memos that he had written memorializing his meetings with Donald Trump. He wanted those memos released. He wanted them leaked. He sent them to a friend of his at a website who promptly leaked them.

And then what did that cause? That jump-started the selection of the special counsel, Robert Mueller. That was the purpose of the Comey memos, to get a special counsel appointed after Comey was fired, then Sally Yates or Logan Act moving on to Flynn, the Brennan communication with Harry Reid, all these fake news scandals always start with a supposed voice of conscience. Some invisible, anonymous moral crusader inside government who is shocked and outraged over what they see this ogre doing!

Comey was shocked and outraged and had to get it memorialized! Sally Yates shocked and outraged at Trump’s travel ban! Numerous Democrats in the FBI outraged at Michael Flynn daring to talk to the Russian ambassador. There’s always these anonymous — today it’s the whistleblower — there’s always these anonymous moral crusaders inside the government, often in the Department of Justice or often in the intelligence community, who are shocked at what they say really is going on inside the Trump White House.

So only do they reluctantly come forward, oh, it’s so bad what Trump is doing. It was so bad what Kavanaugh did, but somebody, Blasey Ford had to come forth and risk her very sanity to try to save Supreme Court. It’s the same modus operandi here. They come forward, they’ve got some evidence that nobody has ever seen. They’ve got a transcript that nobody can verify. They’ve got an intelligence bit of information that nobody can verify.

Then they contact some progressives or media operatives, usually a former Democrat staffer on the Hill or equivalent, to take it from there. They dress it up, legal mumbo jumbo language, relevance statutes, some bogus allegations of weird, improper campaign contributions or some such thing, and then they prepare it for the media dissemination, the media gladly, eagerly waiting for this presentation, and it’s timed when they think they can do the most damage with it, and then they let fly. And this has been the modus operandi since before Trump was elected.

Every day, folks, dozens of these moles in the so-called intelligence community are probably calling the Washington Post and the New York Times saying they overheard this and they’ve got this and they might have heard this and they think it’s absolutely horrible, the president’s a terrible man, look what he’s doing, this is horrible.

And they’re collecting all these things and they’re weighing them and they’re determining which ones have substance and which ones they can make appear to be real, and they throw the others out. And this is the ongoing mechanism by which they keep this idea that Trump is traitorous, that Trump meddles in elections, that Trump doesn’t trust elections, that Trump has to arrange his victories because he otherwise wouldn’t win.

That’s the theme, and it’s carried forward. Now, what are we talking about? Trump’s meddling in the 2020 election. He’s asking Ukrainians to take his opponent out! It’s just… It’s getting to the point, folks, where it’s so common that I’m getting… I’m this close to ignoring all this, to not becoming ensnared and entrapped by it. (interruption) What are you looking at me that way for? (interruption) Well, because we’re falling for a hoax here! Every damn one of these things is a hoax, and we’re falling for it!

It’s the same old thing! They come up with a concocted, phony premise — a lying-through-its-teeth, scam premise — and what do we do? We accept the premise and we nuke it as best we can, but yet they are setting the narrative. We are always on defense as long as we deal with these people, and they’re always new scandals involving Trump. And there isn’t any scandal involving Trump, and there isn’t any substance to any of this. There hasn’t been substance to any of this. There was no evidence that Trump colluded with Russia.

Look at me. How many times have I said that this week alone? I’ll bet you I’ve said this a thousand times in the last two weeks. “There was no evidence.” There never was any evidence. There was never a need for a special counsel. Everybody involved knew it. All of this is made up, just like this today is made up. There is no impeachment! Everybody thinks there’s an impeachment. There is no impeachment. There has yet to be a formal vote on the House floor for impeachment proceedings.

There are no articles of impeachment that have been prepared and presented to the House. But how many Americans do you think believe that Trump has been impeached? Look at the headlines. You’d have to forgive a whole lot of people if they think impeachment has already begun and that Trump’s already been impeached — and he hasn’t been. In fact, Pelosi may have even put the brakes on it while the Drive-Bys are reporting that she has speeded it up.

RUSH: Okay. Back to the phones. Rachel, Philadelphia. Glad you waited. You’re next. Hello.

CALLER: How are you doing, Rush?

RUSH: Good.

CALLER: I was listening to your show today. I came home and put on the TV, watched a little bit of that craziness on TV, and then put on your show and I hear that blatant liar up there saying… I mean, I read the transcripts yesterday, and he’s up there lying. How can the chairman, Pencil Neck, do that? So I immediately went online and I donated to Trump. I am so mad; I can’t even see straight. He’s got me… (shudders) Ugh! I mean, and they’re just lying and lying and lying, and they’re making a fool out of all the American people. If you read everything, it’s right there for you to see. But nooo! We’re gonna sit here and lie to you like you’re a bunch of idiots.

RUSH: I think it’s outrageous.

CALLER: Me too.

RUSH: He’s saying (sputtering), “Well, you know, I — I — I was doing a parody.” Does anyone buy that? You don’t do parody as the chairman of a congressional committee supposedly looking into presidential malfeasance! What the hell is parody? If you’re having to resort to parody, you don’t have anything! If you’re having to make it up, you don’t have anything! That’s the rule of thumb. Pencil Neck doesn’t have anything, so he’s making it all up here — and he’s counting on people like you watching it and believing it, Rachel.

CALLER: That’s what’s scary about it. There are so many people who do. I own a business, and I have these people come and say, “Oh, this is the end,” and I’m going, “No, this is not what’s going on. Read it. It’s right here.” “Oh, no.” I argued with them yesterday. I said, “I read the transcript. There’s nothing there. Actually, Biden did what was wrong, not Trump,” and then today, to see that? As I said, I only… I didn’t hear it on the news. I had to hear it on your show. Why am I hearing it on your show and not the — you know, the Democrat news?

RUSH: (chuckling)

CALLER: ‘Cause that’s what it is. It’s all Democrats just lying people.

RUSH: It is Democrats in the media. Exactly right. No, they’re not gonna make a big deal of it.

CALLER: Oh! (groans) It’s a disgrace.

RUSH: By the way, speaking of that, I do think… I got a note from (it’s actually a tweet) Brad Parscale, who is campaign manager for Trump. Get this. You’ll be very happy to hear this, Rachel. “In the 24 hours since news of Nancy Pelosi’s impeachment announcement, @realDonaldTrump’s campaign & @GOP have BLOWN OUT fundraising! $5 Million combined in 24 hrs. Donors in all 50 states,” after — after — Pelosi announces her misleading impeachment.

And then this. And, by the way, Rachel, don’t go away because I want to play those Schiff sound bites again when you’re on the phone, so people know what you’re talking about who may have missed them in the first hour. But before I get to that, folks, two other things I’ve got here — one other thing. I mentioned that I had talked to a friend who has been making speeches, and he’s speaking to bankers and oil company people, and he’s been kind of surprised.

He told me that in crowd of over 150 of them (these are major executives, Big Oil and banks), that they are 110% for Trump, and you’re not hearing this. Except there’s a Wall Street Journal story here that — and this is not new. It’s kind of an update. The headline is, “Wall Street Democratic Donors Warn the Party: We’ll Sit Out, or Back Trump, If You Nominate Elizabeth Warren.” These guys are sitting around, they’ve bankrolled the Democrat Party for all these years, and they want no part of Elizabeth and her agenda or Bernie Sanders. Now, I’m gonna come back and tie these two together and explain them in a minute.

But while I’ve got Rachel here, I want to play these Schiff sound bites that she talked about that you may not have heard. Schiff is the chairman of the committee, and he’s got the Director of National Intelligence up there. We know from the transcript of the phone call between Trump and the Ukrainian president that all of the original reporting about it was wrong. There was nothing in the original reporting about the conversation that was true. It was innocuous. There’s nothing there compared to what we were told before the transcripts were released. So Schiff knows there’s nothing there.

So he’s conducting his opening statement today, and here we have two sound bites that I want you to listen to…

RUSH: Now, the reference to seven times there is part of the erroneous original reporting which said that Trump mentioned eight times that he wanted this guy to nail Biden. None of that is true. Trump didn’t mention it once, twice, never near seven times. This is Schiff totally mischaracterizing it and calling Trump a mob boss. Now, this next bite contains the piece de resistance.

SCHIFF: “I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it, on this and on that.”

RUSH: Stop the tape. Cue it back to the beginning. This is Adam Schiff, chairman of the committee. He’s telling the witness and everybody else in his opening statement that in the phone call to the Ukrainian president, Donald Trump told the president, ” I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it, on this and on that.”

That didn’t happen. Trump didn’t tell anybody to make up anything on anybody, not even close. Schiff is making it up. He’s telling everybody what he wishes Trump had said. Trump didn’t say it. When you have to make it up, it doesn’t exist. Now the whole bite in itself.

SCHIFF: “ I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it, on this and on that. I’m gonna put you in touch with people, and not just any people. I’m gonna put you in touch with the attorney general of the United States — my attorney general — Bill Barr. He’s got the whole weight of the American law enforcement behind him. And I’m gonna put you in touch with Rudy. You’re gonna love him. Trust me.

“You know what I’m asking, and so I’m only gonna say this a few more times in a few more ways. And, by the way, don’t call me again. I’ll call you when you’ve done what I asked.” This is, in sum and character, what the president was trying to communicate with the president of Ukraine. It would be funny if it wasn’t such a graphic —

RUSH: Stop the tape. Rachel, you didn’t know any of that had happened until you heard it about an hour and a half ago on this program.

CALLER: Yes, exactly. And you have to realize, I’ve never donated to a political campaign in my life and I wasn’t even fond of Trump when I voted for him. I voted for him ’cause I was a Republican. I was worried he was gonna be a RINO, but he’s pleasantly, pleasantly surprised me. And then because you don’t like the man, you’re lying about him and lying about him? It is a disgrace. And I tell people, I said, “What if it was you? And they decide, well, they don’t like you because of the color of your skin. Or they don’t like you ’cause of your ethnicity, or they don’t like you ’cause you’re short. Are they gonna make up stuff about you?” And they go, “Oh, wait a minute. Oh, yeah.” You got deal in fact. We cannot keep these lies —

RUSH: It’s kind of disheartening to have to remind people that, but I run into the same thing, so I know what I mean. Rachel, thanks for the call. Here is what happened. Schiff was finally — when this happened, I couldn’t believe there wasn’t a single Republican that didn’t bang a gavel and stand up and stop this! I mean, this happened in front of everybody!

And this went on for over a minute and a half and he’s lying about it, making it up, and it took a while for a Republican to even address it! A Republican finally did, Mike Turner, who is a Republican from Ohio. But I don’t want to play his bite. Here’s how Schiff, when he was called on the fact that he had lied and made it up, this is what he said.

SCHIFF: As an aside, I want to mention that, uh, my colleague is right on both counts. Um, it’s not okay. Uh, but also my summary of the president’s call was meant to be — at least part, in parody. RUSH: No, it wasn’t because he never said it! You just said the president never said, “If you don’t understand me I’m gonna say –” He never said it and then you come back and say that’s the message that he was sending!

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I have occasions now and then where I learn that the things I see, and in many cases I’m shocked and angered, outraged by, others don’t even notice. And this Schiff thing is one of them. I was watching this today, and when Schiff went through this fake, totally made up, supposed story of what Trump told the Ukrainian president, I started firing off some emails to people.

They didn’t think it was that big a deal. They thought other things that had happened were bigger deals than that. And I was flummoxed, I was perplexed because to me those two bites I just played to you sum up all of this. They’re making it up! There isn’t anything here. There is nothing there. They’re making it up. Schiff admitted that he was parodying Trump, a committee chairman. And then people say, “Ah, Rush, that’s the way Washington works.”

The Republicans didn’t react to this the moment it happened. It took a while. And only because this Republican admitted that his constituents were texting him about it! Everybody just sat there while Schiff made this up and quoted Trump as saying, “I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent. Understand? Lots of it.” That, to me, is the standout moment of this whole thing today, to me. Not only for its outrageous not and its egregious, but for what it tells us about all this.

So many other people, “Well, yeah, that’s a big deal, Rush, let me tell you what it was.” And they start citing what I think are arcane, in-the-weeds things that I also noticed but I would not stop this program to tell you about ’em. I would not ask for those audio sound bites. But this one I demanded, because this is it! This is everything. The chairman of the committee is an abject liar over and over!

This guy is the guy who told us even after the Mueller report that he had evidence that Trump had colluded with Russia and he has never produced it. He’s never been forced to produce it because he doesn’t have it! It doesn’t exist. So look, I get just as frustrated as you over similar things. So I’m really glad that Rachel called, and I’m glad that my instincts on this at least rang home there.

Reports: Whistleblower Is CIA Plant, One of Brennan’s Men

RUSH: All right. So here’s the CNN headline on screen right now: “Whistleblower: Trump tried to get Ukraine to interfere in 2020 election and White House tried to cover it up.” Now, keep something in mind. The whistleblower never heard anything. The whistleblower heard things secondhand and thirdhand. The whistleblower was not on the call. The whistleblower was told things. We have, again, this anonymous, very deeply caring, very moral person worried about American values, our values.

And Trump tried to get Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election. It’s the same theme! Trump interfered in the 2016 election. The Russians meddled; Trump colluded. The FBI tried to plant spies to prove this. It did happen because the meddling happened with the Democrats. The Democrats medaled and interfered by creating (the Hillary Clinton campaign buying) the Steele dossier. Pardon me for revisiting this, but it is necessary to put all this in perspective. Trump did not interfere in the 2020 election.

And the whistleblower doesn’t know what happened because the whistleblower didn’t hear the call! The transcript of the call has been released. What Trump was actually doing — and I’ve mentioned this two days in a row. And, you know, our last caller, folks? Our last caller made an actually brilliant point. All during the Mueller investigation, the Drive-Bys are doing daily stories about what a reprobate Donald Trump is ’cause he wanted to fire Mueller. He had fired Comey and he wanted to fire Mueller. Remember all of this?

Except Mueller never got fired. It never happened — and yet the Drive-Bys said that Trump wanted to fire Mueller every day. Then Mueller’s report says, “Yeah, we heard that the president was trying to fire us but that people in his media orbit talked him out of it.” Well, the bottom line is, Mueller didn’t get fired. But the prosecutor in Ukraine did, the prosecutor looking into the scandal of Joe Biden setting up his son with both the Chinese and the Ukrainians to get rich without knowing or doing anything for it! There was a prosecutor looking into it.

Biden went over there as vice president. He has bragged about this. We’ve had the audio on this program. He was at a Council on Foreign Relations meeting. He was bragging to people how he bullied the Ukrainians. He said that he told them, “You’re gonna fire this guy! You’re gonna fire this prosecutor. You’re gonna put in a prosecutor that we want or we’re gonna withhold American aid — and if you think that this is just me, then you get on the phone and you call Obama and you ask him.

“You’ve got six hours,” Biden said. So what do we have? Trump didn’t fire Mueller. The Drive-Bys said he wanted to. That makes him obstructing justice. “Trump tried to obstruct justice, Trump did obstruct justice, ’cause he wanted to fire Mueller,” but Mueller never got fired. Meanwhile, Biden and his son are under investigation over Ukraine, and Biden goes over and bullies the prosecutor, bullies the government, demands they fire the prosecutor looking into his son or else they will withhold money already pledged to Ukraine.

Biden says, “And if you think this is just me blabbering on, you call Obama. You call him right now. He’ll back me up.” So Obama has been implicated by Biden as being part of this bullying blackmail effort to withhold previously pledged American aid money to Ukraine unless the prosecutor is fired. So they fired the prosecutor! Biden got a prosecutor fired! Trump did not fire Mueller! Who is under investigation here for meddling in elections and meddling in internal affairs? Donald Trump. And what’s he doing?

Meddling in an election again. When are the Democrats gonna figure out that people don’t believe Trump is meddling in elections? He’s meddling in… If anything, he’s trying to get to the bottom of what happened to him in 2016. You’ll note… Well, you haven’t noted. This is up to me to tell you. Not one… I haven’t seen it. Now, I must admit I haven’t seen everything. So there is an outside chance I could be wrong here. But nobody in Drive-By Media has even referenced Trump mentioning CrowdStrike to the Ukrainian president in that phone call.

They don’t want to go anywhere near that. CrowdStrike is a private sector firm, as you know, and that’s the only evidence that we have that the Russians hacked the DNC server. This tells me that that probably didn’t happen, either, that the Russians are probably not the people that hacked the DNC server. But the Trump case in 2016 depended on the Russians doing a bunch of hacking. It depended on the Russians meddling. It depended on… When it was the Democrats that had meddled. It was the Democrats that hired Steele.

It was Hillary. This stuff is actually amazing, ’cause everything the Democrats are accusing Trump of doing, they have done — and they’re getting away with it. At least the appearance is they’re getting away with it because nobody’s investigating them. Ah, ah, ah! I spoke too soon. The attorney general is investigating them, along with the FBI and the whole of the deep state. So here, folks. Here’s a brief synonymous of what I think the lay of the land is. The next couple of days could be critical to getting the Trump version of this story out, meaning the nature of the whistleblower and his lawyer.

His lawyer is a Clinton-Obama connection. I found it hilarious today, the Democrats are asking the witness, the Director of National Intelligence, “Do you agree that the whistleblower is a political hack?” Because Trump had accused the whistleblower of being a political hack. And I guarantee you the whistleblower is a political hack! The whistleblower is not some morally offended paragon of justice (sobbing) “terribly, terribly concerned about what Trump is doing to our government and our country and our values.” The whistleblower is a political hack!

I will guarantee you there is some connection to whatever the Democrats were doing to Trump in 2016. It’s gonna be Fusion GPS. It’s gonna be somebody that’s involved in Russia-Trump colluding who is gonna be tied to this whistleblower. I will say it right here and now: The whistleblower is a political hack. Do you know that Adam Schiff has had the whistleblower report since August? (interruption) What? (interruption) You think I shouldn’t have said that? (interruption) Okay. Good. (interruption)

What do you mean, you didn’t know that? (interruption) You thought what was…? (interruption) Oh, the whistleblower report? (interruption) No! Adam Schiff’s had this on his desk since August! Pencil Neck had it. This whistleblower report is just like the Christine Blasey Ford letter, which had just been waiting there for Dianne Feinstein, in that case, to unveil it. This has been an operation needing only a timeframe for execution. The timeframe is they decide to go with this shortly after everybody thinks that Pelosi has authorized impeachment.

So this is supposed to go on top of that as the perception of evidence that Trump has done something impeachable. (dramatic tone) “He has asked Ukraine to meddle in the 2020 elections.” That’s based on the fact that Trump supposedly asked the guy to look into Biden. It’s okay for Hillary to hire Christopher Steele and to create a phony document, the Steele dossier — and it’s okay for the Democrats to take that to the FISA court and use that as a evidence for a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign and the Trump transition.

Oh, that’s perfectly fine. Perfectly fine.

The Russians can collude with the Democrats and vice-versa all day long if the objective is to get Trump. At any rate, so we have here the nature of the whistleblower and his lawyer — and, I mean, getting it out what we think this is. Our side of the story also involves the difference between Trump’s justified speculations that the whistleblower is a hack and Biden’s admission to what was likely a felony! Biden has admitted to pressuring Ukraine to dump a prosecutor to save his son, and threatening to withhold American money if they didn’t dump the prosecutor.

Whatever Trump has done, it doesn’t even compare to that. And this is also part of our narrative or story that needs to be part of the drumbeat. And we need to keep reminding everybody that nobody ever investigated CrowdStrike! We just accept some private sector company that’s founded by a guy that hates Putin. The DNC hires them to examine their server that was hacked, and this CrowdStrike outfit, it’s the Russians, and that’s it? No examination, no verification, no outside independent validation.

And how about the weird relationship with Comey’s FBI and CrowdStrike’s outsourced data investigations? I mean, these people are thick as thieves, and they’re still running the same operation. The operation to get rid of Trump for Trump-Russia collusion has not stopped. It’s just taken a turn now into this latest direction toward Ukraine.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: “Whistleblower Is a CIA Officer Detailed to the White House.” (Snort!) What did we think? I knew it! This is part of the same intel cabal that ran the Russia collusion mess! And this guy, the whistleblower wasn’t even there! He didn’t even hear it! In a questionnaire… The whistleblower answered, “I don’t know” 12 different times in a questionnaire about what he was reporting. “I don’t know,” 12 different times.

A story in the New York Times: “The whistleblower who revealed that President Trump sought foreign help [blah, blah] is a CIA officer who was detailed to work at the White House at one point, according to three people familiar with his identity. The man has since returned to the CIA, the people said. Little else is known about him.” So he was a CIA officer. He was a plant! He was a deep state plant from the CIA at the White House! I knew it was either gonna be this or somebody from Fusion GPS.

This guy may still be a tie to Fusion GPS, because the intelligence community is tied in with the FBI and the DOJ — the Obama DOJ — that tried to ramrod Trump through 2016, ’18, ’19, you name it. This is why Phil Mudd was upset. (interruption) Yeah. I may as well as remind you. Phil Mudd, a former deputy director of counterintelligence at the CIA, was livid when he heard about this. Okay, what does this prove? It proves the intelligence community is spying on the president. It proves it. Trump said it during the 2016 campaign. They laughed at him; they mocked him.

They said, “You’re insane. You’re crazy. Nobody’s monitoring your calls. Nobody’s tapping your wires. The CIA’s not spying on you!” Yes, they are. Not, “yes, they were.” Yes, they are. He “is a CIA officer detailed to the White House,” meaning not a Trumper. This is somebody the CIA, the intel community, sent over there. This guy was put there as a spy and did his job. I knew it. I knew it. I knew the intel community was part of this — and, folks, nothing’s changed. Nothing’s new. It’s the same operation. They just failed to get Trump on Russia.

Now they’re trying Trump-Ukraine. They failed to get Trump on everything they’ve tried to get him with, but they’re trying something new now. It’s the same thing. This guy’s no different than Christine Blasey Ford. This guy’s no different than Christopher Steele. He’s just part of the cabal — or she. It’s a political hack, no doubt — and don’t tell me that CIA people can’t be political. There’s no question the guy’s a political hack. But he didn’t directly overhear the call! Somebody told him! Trump wants to know: Who is it that told the CIA hack?

Now CNN says, “This is very, very dangerous! The president is now trying to find out who the leaker is. This is very, very dangerous for America. Presidents don’t do this!” Presidents don’t try to find out who leaks on ’em? Are you kidding me, CNN? “It’s very dangerous for the president to be targeting an individual like this.” Very dangerous to be targeting…? Trump is the target! For crying out loud! (pause) I’m sorry for yelling here, folks, but I’m incredulous over all this. Not incredulous. Angry. We’ve been played again. I knew it! I knew it.

The whole thing is a scam. It’s an orchestrated scam. It was set up, it was planned, like Blasey Ford coming forward to try to nail Kavanaugh, like version 2 to get Kavanaugh a couple weeks ago, like Christopher Steele — the supposed dossier — totally made up and used to get FISA warrants to spy on Trump. This guy, Donald Trump, is the most spied-on president we’ve ever had — by his own country. The Washington deep state is alive and well, and they are functioning. (interruption) I don’t know who it is. (interruption)

No. I have no idea. I have no way of knowing. Could this CIA guy be part of the presidential briefing team? I have no idea. There’s no way of knowing. We’re gonna find out. We’re gonna find out who this is. We will find… I can’t believe the New York Times has even revealed this much. If you want to know the truth, it’s kind of a shock to me the New York Times has gone this way. This may indicate that it’s beginning to fall apart and they need a fall guy. (interruption) I’m not wishful thinking. The New York Times divulging a source like this?

“Well, Rush, they haven’t named him.” (Snort!) It doesn’t matter who this is. The American intel community is continuing to spy on the president. Who cares who it is! I mean, it would be interesting to know. But for the New York Times to be burning even this much of it, it… Look, I could be dead wrong, but it could well mean that a lot of people think this is not working out. Schiff really blew this big time today. So they might need a fall guy. Somebody may have to fall on the sword here at some point.

RUSH: Sara Carter has tweeted — this is the third tweet on this, by the way, from different people. Adam Schiff has had the whistleblower complaint since August, and he knew that the whistleblower was not a direct witness to most of the events described in the whistleblower complaint.

Adam Schiff is a total fraud. He is a liar — I’m sorry — a bad satirist. He made up things Trump supposedly said to the Ukrainian ambassador in his opening statement today. But the point is that this plan has been in the works for a while, all the way back in August. Adam Schiff was tweeting things back in August based on the whistleblower report without citing it. He was tweeting things like, “President may be putting undue pressure on president of Ukraine to meddle in next year’s elections,” little things like that that he knew he was just setting them up.

We have learned from the New York Times that the whistleblower is a CIA plant. And now Paul Sperry has released this bit of information. Are you ready? Dadelut, dadelut, dadelut, dadelut, dadelut. “Rumors are now swirling that the anti-Trump whistleblower,” the hack, the political hack “was one of John Brennan’s old CIA humps detailed over to — planted inside — the White House to spy on Trump and help thwart the investigation of #Spygate which also involves Obama DOS/FBI/CIA skullduggery in Ukraine.” In other words, the Barr investigation.

So the rumors — this stuff, it’s not gonna get contained. It’s gonna come out. Trump is right. The whistleblower is a political hack. The rumors are circling now that he is one of John Brennan’s buddies. John Brennan ran the CIA for Obama. He was one of the original Never Trumpers running the Russia investigation. He was on TV every day promising people Trump was going to jail. He was promising people that Trump was gonna get frog-marched. He was promising people that Trump was going to be found guilty of treason.

And then when the Mueller report came out no collusion, Brennan was out: I must have been given false information. No, your efforts bombed. Your efforts failed. So the whistleblower, one of John Brennan’s old CIA buddies planted inside the White House to spy on Trump and to try to undermine the Barr investigation into the original FBI investigation, like when did it begin, who’s really responsible for it.

So one way to look at this is this, Mr. Snerdley, the FBI was tasked with taking out Trump in the Russia investigation. The CIA has been tasked with taking Trump out on this Ukraine business. So who’s it been next? When this one doesn’t work, what’s the next one? Because there is gonna be one.

In fact, I’m gonna make a prediction to you. This Ukraine thing is gonna blow over because Trump didn’t do anything. Biden did! The guilty party here is Joe Biden and his son Hunter. Trump didn’t do anything. So this is not gonna amount to anything either and there isn’t gonna be an impeachment. There will not be a formal impeachment inquiry. Do not doubt me. And yet in a few months guaranteed we are gonna be going through this exact scenario that we’ve been through this week with an entirely new revelation that Trump is meddling in something, that Trump is trying to steal the 2020 election.

They’re just gonna keep recycling this with different details. Trump meddled with Russia in the first one, now he’s meddling with Ukraine, now he’s asking Ukraine to take out his political opponent. When this bombs, they’ll come with something else or they’ll have Kavanaugh 3.0 or something. But this is all they’ve got.

They can’t win 2020 on policy. Some of their biggest donors are telling the Democrats, “If it’s Elizabeth Warren, we are out. We don’t want any part of her presidency. We’re tired of being targeted anyway. We’re gonna vote for Trump.” I have anecdotal evidence to back up that, by the way. That would be my friend who’s making speeches and these oil people and banking people are coming up to him and telling him the same thing.

So, Mr. Snerdley, are you surprised that it’s a CIA friend of John Brennan’s perhaps? It has to be a spy. The one thing that I knew it wasn’t, it’s not some moral, clean and pure as the wind-driven snow, deeply concerned American really, really shocked at what Trump did. That’s not who this is. That’s what they want us to believe. There’s somebody in there that found out what Trump did and was so morally, morally outraged by it that he had no choice but to come forward.

They want us to believe that there’s some cabal of CIA agents so, so, so offended over what Trump is doing to our great country that they cannot not come forward. That’s not what this is. It’s a spy. It’s a plant. It’s all part of the effort that they’ve had to destroy Donald Trump since before he was inaugurated.

So the Russia thing blew up in their face, okay, we’ll try it later. Mueller blows up, no big deal, we’ll try it later, we’ll bring back Kavanaugh, we’ll do anything. And they’re still not true. This is gonna happen all the way through the election, folks.

Now I want to go back at this juncture, it’d be helpful to play Phil Mudd. This is exactly what he was afraid of. Phil Mudd is a Never Trumper on CNN. He doesn’t like Trump at all. He’s a typical deep stater that thinks Trump is just a pig. They just don’t like him. They just don’t think he’s fit to even appear in Washington and walk around and be there. He’s that big a joke.

But when Mudd heard that an intel person might have been this whistleblower, he blew a gasket. It was last Wednesday, it was eight days ago on CNN, he was on with Fredo, Fredo Cuomo. Fredo said, “Somebody says they heard something as an intelligence official that troubled them enough to lodge a formal complaint to the inspector general. How unusual.”

MUDD: Boy, I’m about ready to blow a gasket. Can you explain to me, A, why it’s the U.S. intelligence community’s responsibility to listen to the president of the United States speaking to a foreign leader? And, B, why the U.S. intelligence community — under the rules provided by the Democrats in Congress — are responsible to report to the Congress what the president of the United States says?

FREDO: Hold on a second! What if he did say something to a foreign leader that sounded like a promise that went over the line enough that somebody of good conscience said, “He’s not supposed to say things like this?”

MUDD: Well, pardon me, what the heck is “over the line”? The president can say what he wants to Putin. He can say what he wants to Kim Jong-un. The president can say what he wants. It’s not the responsibility of the intel guys to go police the president and go snitch on him to the Congress. Ridiculous!

RUSH: I couldn’t believe this when I heard it. That’s why I keep playing this sound bite. I could not believe it. You notice Fredo’s question? So Fredo is totally accepting of the idea that when there’s a Republican in the White House, we need somebody in there “policing” the guy. We need somebody monitoring and spying to make sure the Republican doesn’t do something that’s gonna hurt us all. It’s perfectly fine! “What’s wrong with that?” Fredo says, in another public expression of sheer ignorance — happy, sheer ignorance.

Mudd told him straight, “What the heck is ‘over the line’? The president can say what he wants” to anybody. It’s not the intel community’s job to spy on him and start snitching! And what Mudd… This is political. So Fredo then says, “Okay. Well, if you don’t let people spy, what is the mechanism…?” Get this: “[W]hat is the mechanism for policing the White House?”

This is Fredo Cuomo! As though there has to be a mechanism for the White House to be policed. If it’s not the intel community, who is it? Fredo Cuomo is entirely fine with the CIA being the overall judgmental authority on the executive branch. Now, Fredo doesn’t realize he’s saying this, but that’s what he’s saying. (impression) “Well… Well, what’s the mechanism for policing the White House if it’s not these guys in the CIA?” And here was what Phil Mudd answered to that…

MUDD: Quit! Quit and you could talk to the media if you want. You can write a book if you want. If you don’t like what the president does — whether you are the secretary of defense, whether you’re the national security adviser, whether you’re Rex Tillerson — you go quit. You don’t go say, “Well, I have a secret avenue to the Congress,” that, in my view, is inappropriate, “to go explain why the intel guys have to collect intelligence on the president.” Exactly, by the way — exactly — what the president alleges happened during the campaign!

RUSH: Bingo! And they all denied it. They all said Trump was a fool, they all said he was a paranoiac, they all said he was crazy — and this is one of the reasons Phil Mudd’s not happy about this, because it establishes that Trump was right! It further establishes that the media is perfectly fine with the CIA spying on the president of the United States.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I tell you one thing this means. It means that Trump, even in the West Wing, is still surrounded by a bunch of disloyal spies who are on no doubt leaking to the media — sorry, leaking to the Democrats, leaking to the Democrats in the media and the Democrats up on Capitol Hill. That is a reality. He hasn’t been able to clean it out — and even if he cleans it all out, they send other people up there to replace the people he cleans out and there’s still spies. We’ve got Pelosi out there now (sobbing), “This is just a horrible week for our country! Our dear president is guilty of colluding and trying to meddle in the 2020 election.”

The timing of this is rather curious. There are still a lot of questions about this and why they dropped this card now. I think it goes along with their big impeachment push. But I think they also may be getting nervous about Barr’s investigation too. I know a lot of people think that’s not gonna amount to anything. A lot of people told me, Mr. Snerdley, that they think Barr’s gonna say, “Yeah, we found some stuff, but none of it’s prosecutable, none of it (muttering),” and that we’re gonna be let down again. It may be. But even at that, I think some of these people are worried about it, what will be learned and maybe uncovered or reported.

CALLER: Schiff is digging the hole deeper. He’s digging the grave deeper. The man is incapable of telling the truth. It’s evident in his so-called mea culpa. In the parody — what he blows off with a parody. He knew he stepped on it, stepped in it, and even then he introduces a second lie with the so-called message that he wants to get out. This is gonna blow up in their face like a Chinese or Ukrainian firecracker.

RUSH: Wait a minute. Oh, it blew up in his face like a firecracker, you say?

CALLER: Yeah. Yeah.

RUSH: Well, why do you say it blew up in his face like firecracker? He almost got away with it!

CALLER: He almost got away with it, but if you listen to your audience — look at Rachel’s call, my call — we’re seeing through it, Rush. We’re seeing through it. People are seething. You’re exactly right.

RUSH: Oh, oh, oh. Okay. That’s actually comforting. That’s true. He didn’t get away with it with you, and he didn’t get away with it with Rachel. Trump’s CrowdStrike Reference Panicked Democrats

RUSH: Oh! By the way, if I’ve had one, I have had five emails, “Hey, Rush, hey, Rush, I see people talking about CrowdStrike all over the media now. Congratulations. Thank you.” I was happy to see that myself because Trump mentioning CrowdStrike in that phone call with the Ukrainian president, let me tell you something. You don’t know this. You’re not gonna see this represented, you’re not gonna see the media, the Democrats, react to it. They’re gonna ignore it.

But Trump mentioning CrowdStrike, that’s the firm that examined the DNC server after it was hacked in 2015, everybody thinking that the Russians did it. The FBI never examined it. We don’t know who hacked the server. We don’t know that there was a hack. We don’t know that it wasn’t an inside job to release some of the data on that Democrat National Committee server. Whoever tried to hack the RNC computers, but they never got into theirs, but the DNC was hacked.

Debbie “Blabbermouth” Schultz would not let the FBI examine. They brought this in private sector firm, CrowdStrike, which is not Fusion GPS, but they may as well be. It’s all part of the same mix of Democrat political partisan operatives on the left here. And they said, “Well, yeah, we looked at it and the Russians hacked this.” And the only evidence for the Russians hacking it is that whoever the hacker was left evidence by way of a Cyrillic keyboard. The Russian language. Somebody was making it look like the Russians hacked it.

Anyway, when Trump mentioned CrowdStrike to the Ukrainian president — do not doubt me — what he was really asking, because he specified the business of Biden and his son, he’s really asking the president of Ukraine to help Barr in the investigation of when the Trump-Russia collusion investigation actually began. That’s what Trump wants to know. That’s what Barr is trying to find out.

That investigation is ongoing, and we don’t know much about it. But it’s still happening. And the fact that CrowdStrike got mentioned — the Democrats don’t want anybody to know about CrowdStrike. They don’t want anybody thinking about CrowdStrike. Because, I’ll tell you, it looks more and more and more like elements in Ukraine have some responsibility or culpability in the original investigation, the FBI and so forth, into Trump-Russia collusion.

I mentioned yesterday Donald Trump resents greatly the idea that he needed help to win. What really bugs him about the Russia collusion thing, aside from how outrageously criminal it would be, the way it’s been cast, is that it’s the greatest achievement of his life and they’re trying to take it away from him. And he did it against insurmountable odds. He did it against the entire Washington establishment. He did it with relatively no money compared to how much money they all had.

He outsmarted them; he outworked them; he out-innovated them. He just blew up every so-called political consultant, expert, and rendered them irrelevant, and they hate him for it. Donald Trump came in and showed you can beat the establishment and you don’t even have to use them to do it.

The very idea that he had help doing this offends the heck out of him. It’s the single greatest achievement of his life. He worked harder than anybody. He innovated and adapted and pivoted every day depending on what came at him with greater alacrity and skill than political professionals have been doing this their entire lives.

He embarrassed them. He embarrassed their polling units. He embarrassed Hillary Clinton. And they can’t stand it! They literally can’t stand it.

Millions of Americans Seethe with Rage Over the Assaults on President Trump

RUSH: I tell you, folks, another reason why I’m speculating about really dialing back reaction to all of this is ’cause it’s gonna be happening every month from now to the election. There’s gonna be a new one of these every month. That only stands to reason. If the original Trump-Russia collusion blew up in their face and there was no evidence for it — and Mueller concluded there was no collusion and there wasn’t any obstruction — and yet they’re still doing this? They’re not gonna stop doing this.

As Al Green said yesterday, “If we don’t impeach Donald Trump, he’s gonna get reelected.” Now, just stop and think about that. If he gets reelected, he’s pretty popular out there. (translated) “So if we don’t impeach him, we can’t beat him.” I’ll tell you something else about this reprobate Adam Schiff. If you’re a prosecutor and you go before a jury and you have to start making up what you think the defendant said — when you can’t actually quote the defendant in your effort to smear him — then you’ve lost!

You’ve lost when you have to start making it up. Now, granted, this was not a court of law with a judge and jury. So he’s probably got a bit more latitude here. But the very fact that he’s making it up means they don’t have it! The very fact that he’s making it up about what Trump said to the Ukrainian president means Trump didn’t say it! ƒraCALLER: (garbled cell) Hi, Rush. I seem to recall during the Mueller investigation that there was a suggestion that Trump remove Mueller as a special prosecutor, and he didn’t do that. But what you’ve actually got, you’ve got a vice president who actually had somebody removed from another country, from a prosecutor in a criminal case, actual criminal case with legitimate allegations, and Trump did not remove somebody in a civil process for a bogus investigation. The second point is —

RUSH: Wait, wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait. What is your point there?

CALLER: Well, the point is, you know, Trump actually stayed away from interfering, you know, and it would have been legal for him to remove it. But think —

RUSH: Now, wait. Wait, wait, wait. See, you’re talking reality.

CALLER: (chuckling)

RUSH: But that’s not what was reported. The media said that Trump wanted to fire Mueller, and he almost did except he was held back by other responsible people.

CALLER: (chuckling)

RUSH: So, as far as the media is concerned, Trump did fire Mueller. It’s just that nobody let him do it.

CALLER: Well, yeah, I guess they gotta impeach him to find out what he did. But, you know, secondly, Rush, you know, if Trump had called the Ukrainian whistleblower hotline and made exactly the report he made to their head of state, how would that be any different from the American anonymous whistleblower who made a complaint thinking it was wrongdoing by his president? I mean, Trump is basically a Ukrainian whistleblower. He ought to be celebrated as a hero for pointing out criminal activity in their own country.

RUSH: Well, you’re illustrating something here. Obviously, you’re right. But, see, the frustrating thing here for a lot of people is that you’re citing another couple of cases of blatant hypocrisy. Hypocrisy does not attach itself to Democrats, and the reason it doesn’t is because the media never throws it at them. If you’ve got a sack of manure, and in that sack of manure is also hypocrisy, you’ve gotta throw it at somebody for it to stick, and the media doesn’t throw it. So we have to rely on the Democrats to step on it, on that sack of manure.

We have to put those sacks of manure where they’re gonna walk, where they’re gonna be, and hope they step in it — and that’s what we hope they’re doing right now with the American people. Which I think is happening. I talked to a guy who has been making speeches, public appearances before different business groups. He recently spoke to an audience of major bankers and oil executives. He told me he was shocked. They had 110% support for Trump.

They are fed up with what they’re seeing. I think this is being replicated all over the country from different groups of people to different groups. As I said last week, I think millions of people are seething with rage over this. Trump was not guilty. Trump-Russia? He didn’t do anything. Now they keep coming with this? People don’t forget what they were lambasted with for two years! So I think we’re watching abject, pure panic and desperation on the Democrat side, still hoping that something they throw at Trump is gonna stick to him.

RUSH: Now, as always, the next day or two are gonna be critical in getting the story out — and once again, it’s gonna fall to us. Ratcliffe today was great. Devin Nunes was great today. There are some Republicans who are working hard to rebut this stuff, but not nearly enough. You know, tweets and Fox News appearances are not gonna get it done.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Now, just to reiterate something here because I have this theory that as the Democrats do this dance that never ends, that Trump is a cheat, that Trump is a fraud, that Trump meddles with elections, I think that it is creating an increasing number and amount of people who are seething enraged, who are not fooled by it, who know full well. They just follow their instincts.

Even if you’re paying half attention, the first two years of Trump-Russia collusion, the Democrats and the media made you think that Trump did it. It’s just a matter of time. All those stories every day for two years, then the Mueller investigation, then the Mueller report, everybody thought he did it, casual news consumers.

And then the Mueller report came out, and the bottom fell out. No collusion! And there were, “What?” So they, “Okay. No collusion.” And it’s over. As far as most people are concerned, it’s over. They don’t keep following it. They don’t stay in the nuance of it as the Democrats try to turn not guilty into guilty.

But then the Democrats make the mistake of creating another brand-new scandal based on the same premise, that Trump is meddling in elections or that Trump is this or that. And I think we’ve gotten to the point with a lot of people — I don’t think all by any stretch, so don’t misunderstand – I think there are a lot of people naturally skeptical now. “Wait a minute. You told me for two years that he did this, and he didn’t, and now you’re saying he’s doing the same thing with Ukraine?”

I think they’re creating a bunch of, if not flat-out people who doubt it, there are people who are now questioning it rather than just accepting it in a blanket fashion. We’re gonna find out at some point.

Theories on What’s in Store for Biden

RUSH: Now, here’s what I think’s gonna happen. And feel free to call here and tell me you think I’m all wet. There are two schools of thought on this. I think that this entire mass hysteria is eventually going to destroy Biden. Because he did it! And he’s admitted doing it.

Now, there’s a countervailing theory out there that I must share with you. The countervailing theory is new, and it is a theory tied to how media is different since Trump. If you go back to 2016, remember when the Access Hollywood video came out or when any other so-called Trump scandal came out, all the conventional wisdom was that’s it for Trump, it’s over, Access Hollywood, nobody survives this in politics, he’s toast, except he survived it, and everything else he survived.

The theory is, Mr. Snerdley, that when one candidate in a massive field of candidates, like in a primary, is getting 90% of the media coverage, the other candidates are frozen out and don’t have a prayer. No matter the nature of the coverage, doesn’t matter whether it’s good or bad.

So Trump was the news in the Republican primary. And none of the others could get noticed, none of the others could get traction, didn’t matter how much money they spent, didn’t matter how much they attacked Trump, it didn’t matter how clean and pure as the wind-driven snow, didn’t matter how moral, didn’t matter how filled with manners they were, didn’t matter how polite, they couldn’t get noticed.

Trump got noticed. And media notice equals stardom. This is the theory. Doesn’t matter what the media says about you, as long as you’re in the media every day, you are a star, you’re an object of curiosity. And if you can’t get media coverage, you don’t exist.

Okay, let’s move forward to Biden. Let’s attach this theory. There’s a part of me that thinks that Biden is eventually gonna be destroyed by this. But the countervailing theory is he already would have been if he was going to be. The fact that he has not dropped precipitously has got some people wondering whether or not he can survive this, that he might be able to, because there’s an analogy.

While all this is going on, does anybody know what Elizabeth Warren’s talking about? Does anybody know what Crazy Bernie’s talking about? They’re trying to break through. Now, Warren’s creeping up in some polls. There are a couple of polls where she has inched ahead of Biden, but in the Real Clear Politics average of polls, it’s still Biden’s, and Warren and these other candidates, they can’t do anything to get noticed.

So the theory is that Biden could survive this simply because of this new media reality that started with Trump. That it doesn’t matter, good or bad, as long as you’re in it, you are perceived to be the biggest. And as long as Biden’s in the media, no matter what it’s about, that he’s going to be seen above the other Democrats. He’s gonna be seen as having more stature. He’s gonna be seen as the most logical choice simply because of the way media affects people.

Now, if this theory is true then we’ve got a big problem ’cause it means the substance of what people say and do becomes secondary or unimportant. In this case, Joe Biden implicated Barack Obama in a message to the government of Ukraine to fire the prosecutor trying to look into his son or else American aid would be withheld.

Now, just that alone, that would end — in the old days, five years ago, that would end a candidate. But today it may not. There’s a lot of vagaries to this theory, and only time will tell. But I think it’s gonna destroy Biden ’cause I think there are other factors. I don’t think Biden can withstand the rigors. I don’t think Biden can take anywhere near the kind of scrutiny that Trump gets and eventually is gonna get it. No matter how protected he is, he’s eventually gonna get it. We’ll find out, we’ll see.

By next week we will know, if there is a precipitous drop in next week’s polls for Biden, then that will say the theory is kind of all wet. It will also be very good for Trump. But people have to continue to bat down these insane allegations like came up against Kavanaugh, like continue to come up against Trump.

Because each of these hysterias that the Democrats launched gets them two weeks of coverage. The Kavanaugh story about 10 days, until it fell out of favor when something else came along and superseded it. The Democrats are gonna try to make this one last a couple of weeks.

Facing Nonstop Hatred Is Normal for GOP Presidents

RUSH: And back to the phones. This — uh. What happened to the guy? What happened to the guy? It was a good call, 26, right? He was a Millennial. He said he listened to me off and on. What was his question? Hm-hm.

Okay. We had a 26-year-old guy from Denver, Millennial. The only president he’s known as an adult paying attention is Obama. And nothing like this ever happened during the Obama administration. So this caller wants to know, is this normal? Is this what politics is gonna be? Now, that’s an intriguing question for somebody who’s 26. It’s an intriguing answer for somebody who’s 26. Because what is the answer? Is this normal?

Here’s what’s normal, for all of you out there who are in this camp. You are 26, you’re 30, your first vote for president might have been 2008 or 2012, Barack Hussein O. About those years, I’m sure what you remember is a peaceful media. You don’t remember the media being ramped up against the president every damn day. You don’t remember the media nonstop hating on the president.

You remember the media loving and respecting and the adoring the president. You also remember the president’s health care plan was a fiasco and a disaster. You also probably remember that you couldn’t find a job that paid you very well. You also remember that were told that the planet was on the way to being destroyed and that Obama was in charge and managing the decline of all these things.

But what you remember is a peaceful media, that as far as you were concerned, reported on the president fairly and supportively. And now, since you weren’t alive to see any of this with Richard Nixon or Ronaldus Magnus and you weren’t old enough to pay attention to it, this is normal when there is a Republican president because the media is not media. It’s Democrats in the media. This is normal, although this one’s taken to extremes, when there are Republicans in the White House.

Wall Street Donors Issue Warren Warning to Dems

RUSH: The Democrats are not doing themselves any favors because the Trump stuff is not happening in a vacuum. The Democrats are also running for president.

They’ve got these debates, and every one of the Democrats on the stage has to make sure everybody understands what they don’t like about this country. America as the problem is the theme, America as a gigantic grievance, America is the problem in the world, America is guilty, America is imperfect, America is racist, America is this, America is that. This is not how you win.

You do collect a large number of grievance-filled people, and you create a large number of victims, but it’s not how you build a majority movement. And you start running around about what’s wrong with America and there’s nothing good about it, everything’s wrong about it. And then you start telling people that you’re gonna start giving money away and you’re gonna give health care away to illegals, you’re gonna raise middle class taxes to pay for it, you’re gonna give this away, you’re gonna have this given away, your gonna forgive student loan debt.

You’re basically gonna give everything away. And you go beyond the point of being realistic about it. Some people will think you can up to a point, but you can’t give everybody everything, which is what they’ve ended up promising. Then, on top of that, you have Elizabeth Warren and Crazy Bernie coming out, and now they’re starting to attack corporate America.

Now, the Democrats always have had a certain percentage of their campaign agenda aimed at corporate America, but they’ve been winking at corporate America all the while because while they bash corporate America in their class envy routine, the Democrats’ number-one donor is corporate America, followed by gay Hollywood, followed by Hollywood, and followed by unions.

Wall Street, corporate America, don’t donate in mass to Republicans. The conventional wisdom has always been the Big Business men. Yeah, therefore Republicans. Big Business Republicans hate people. But Big Business, Wall Street, they have been cultural Democrats for I don’t know how long, cultural leftists, and they have been among the biggest donors. And the Democrats have gotten away with a little wink and nod to ’em, but ripping ’em to shreds every four years.

Corporate America knows the Democrats aren’t really gonna do anything to them, except now they have. Sarbanes-Oxley, consumer finance election — whatever the hell it was that’s gonna ride herd over finance companies and so forth. And now, now Elizabeth Warren and Crazy Bernie have got corporate America and Wall Street in their crosshairs, and they’re making no bones. There’s no wink and nod now.

Bernie and Elizabeth Warren are making it clear throughout these debates and in this campaign that corporate America is gonna be taken on and it’s gonna be cut down and they’re gonna pay their price finally. They’ve gone too far because now corporate America no longer is getting the wink and nod. Corporate America is now beginning to realize that Crazy Bernie and Elizabeth Warren literally mean it!
