US asylum pact with Honduras would seal off 'Northern Triangle' to migrants

Fox News Flash top headlines for Sept. 25

The Trump administration announced Wednesday that it had signed an agreement with Honduras that effectively prevents migrants from traveling through Central America to enter the United States.

The deal, signed on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, completes a central component of President Trump’s strategy to deter asylum-seekers from crossing into the U.S. through Mexico. A similar arrangement was signed with El Salvador last week; a more
comprehensive agreement was previously sealed with Guatemala. Most families arrested or stopped at the U.S.-Mexico border are from those three countries, known as the Northern Triangle.

This is excellent.  Something I can applaud.  Perhaps if migrants don't want to be stuck in Mexico or Honduras they will stay home.  There is no place like home.

There are reports that Mexico is something like 70% controlled by drug cartel.  Mexican crime, Honduran crime is infecting America.  The tentacles of "Northern Triangle" have reached our country.  What we say we are giving asylum for is here in our own country and can do nothing but increase if we allow it.  They bring it here.  Should we simply allow this?

We cannot save the world.  They need to save themselves.  Take a stand in your own government.  Take a stand.  Make a change.  Remove those in government that allow their countries to become uninhabitable.  That is what we are essentially saying.  El Salvaor is lost, Honduras is lost.  The Congo is lost.  Every country with socialism is lost.  It is possible for change.  I hope that the new president in El Salvador is going to turn things around for his people.  It will take the people's support.  Not leaving the country.

So let them all come here and support socialism?  The very thing that has taken away hope for the future in their countries.  Baloney!

And migration has taken a huge drop so Trump is getting things under control.  He had a lot to work on being that this chart shows that the invasion we suffered this summer was incredibly higher than any other period of time.  More than double at any other time since 2014 tracking.

It has taken a painfully long time but good things are finally happening.

This is great news and he needs to be given credit!  Also good news; migration has taken a huge drop so Trump is getting things under control.

Trump is making tremendous strides in lieu of the road blocks that the RINO's and left are throwing at him.  Right now they are trying to stop him from re-election with the bogus crap being slung at him over the Ukraine.

I would say that Trump is really serious about slowing illegal immigration.  With not a lot of support.

Agree.  Right now the level appears to be about at the highest points in previous years.  I think this is excellent news about Asylum and I hope to see continued decline.  I also want to see the President put a stop the illegal Sanctuary laws.

I am a very tough critic but not afraid to give credit when I see good Constitutional policy.

If you look at the link that shows the migration for this year it was more than double any time since 2014.  So there is a lot to get under control.  For this policy change I do give him the credit that is due.  Its been a horrible year that can only be described as invasion.

As for the Ukraine issue.  Totally separate.  I hope it is bogus and some people like Ben Sasse want to make sure that this is handled correctly.  I agree.  Trump is wreckless I hope you are right.
