'Landslide in 2020!': Trump campaign raises $5 million in 24 hours after impeachment inquiry
Washington Times, Sep 25, 2019

On Tuesday, President Trump predicted that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s impeachment inquiry would be “positive for me.” On Wednesday, his re-election campaign confirmed that on at least that front.

Campaign manager Brad Parscale boasted Wednesday of a 50-state avalanche of donations in response to the plea made in response to Mrs. Pelosi, in which small donors were asked to join the “Impeachment Defense Team.”

“In the 24 hours since news of Nancy Pelosi’s impeachment announcement, @realDonaldTrump’s campaign & @GOP have BLOWN OUT fundraising!” he wrote on Twitter just after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Parscale gave the amount as “$5 Million combined in 24 hrs, Donors in all 50 states.”

He characterized the numbers as a “huge groundswell of support” and predicted it would help bring about a “Trump landslide in 2020!”

Not to diminish the obvious pull that Trump still has with his base and the positive news of this article, but my concern is and always has been the corruption on the left.  IMHO I believe that the GOP RINO's are trying to do everything in their power to unseat Trump as well.  More RINO's certainly than I ever thought that are truly globalists who would love to see Warren seated.

My other concern, should Trump win re-election I believe we will see chaos in the streets.  The left will be unable and unwilling to contain the masses; they are after all promoting sheer hatred towards our President, this Republic and a push towards socialism.

I reserve the right to be dead wrong, but I believe that his base has actually increased in size. I am convinced that key minority groups have seen the overarching improvement for their demographics and they LIKE it alot. Welfare is down, home ownership is up wages have gone up under this President, and unemployment is the lowest its been in over 30 years. What is not to like? Yeah he can be a jerk and say stupid shit, but we are better off now than we were under Obozo

Which, the campaign donations or the street chaos?

You are intelligent enough to realize what is going on.  I don't think you can say that about most liberals; even those Trump has helped.  Therein lies the problem.  The liberals are convinced that this economy was started by Bammy, and that what they are experiencing is a result of what he implemented and it is the liberals in Congress that have made their lives better. The DEMS taking the House majority I believe is testament to that. Yes, I don't give a whole lot of credit to the liberals especially when they are so bent on thinking socialism will cure all their woes.

LOL!  Yes, the President's base is with him … but there's no way we alone contributed $5M in 24 hours.  Methinks his (known) base is just the tip of the iceberg ….   :yowsa:

It's not a terribly bad show and I'm glad someone is willing to pay full ticket price for this $hit $how, otherwise they would shut down and leave town.

Trump raises $13M after Pelosi announces impeachment inquiry
Associated Press, Sep 26, 2019

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump’s repeated trashing of a Democratic impeachment inquiry has helped prompt a $13 million flood of campaign cash to bolster his reelection effort.

House Speaker “Nancy (Pelosi) just called for Impeachment. WITCH HUNT!” his campaign said in one fundraising text message sent Tuesday. “I need you on my Impeachment Defense Team.”

In the 24 hours that followed Pelosi’s Tuesday announcement, Trump and the Republican National Committee raised $5 million from online donors in all 50 states, campaign manager Brad Parscale said. In addition to the online money, he was expected to have raised $5 million for his reelection from a Wednesday night fundraiser, followed by an additional $3 million from a Thursday morning breakfast, according to an RNC official.

“Huge groundswell of support leading to Trump landslide in 2020!” Parscale tweeted Wednesday.

The swell of contributions comes right before next week’s third-quarter fundraising reporting deadline and will further pad what is already expected to be a massive haul. More than a year out from the November 2020 contest, his campaign and the RNC have already reported pulling in more than $210 million since the start of 2019, Federal Election Commission records show. That’s more than all the current Democrats seeking to replace him raised combined during that period.

Anyone with a semblance of understanding of macroeconomic theory understands the two major reasons for the limited growth in the economy over the past ten years: interest rates at historically low levels, and government overspending to the tune of nearly a trillion dollars a year.

Trump has kept it going via a reduction in tax rates, while demonstrating no hesitation to rein in overspending.

Reduction is tax rates, yes ... but don't forget the reduction in growth stifling regulations that democrats love so much.

As to overspending, what programs would you like the Congress to eliminate @Night Hides Not   Once you figure this out maybe you could spend some time soliciting the cooperation of Nancy Pelsoi who controls the national purse.

You're too funny @Right_in_Virginia . The Republicans have been just as complicit in exploding the deficit over the past ten years, or have you been suffering from narcolepsy?

While I'm delighted you enjoy reading my posts @Night Hides Not you did not answer my question.  What programs would you cut ... help the Republicans focus and let them know what you would like them to do and support.

Or, you can keep using this issue to harp and demean.

Seriously?  Great graphic and all that, but how do you know that his base alone didn't contribute $5 mil in 24 hrs??  In 2007 Dr. Ron Paul's supporters raised $5 million in 24 hrs in what they called a "money bomb" --- I would think and certainly hope that Trump's base is much larger.

Where has he reined in overspending?

Dont forget us who are not big fans of Trump, who maybe wrote in somebody or voted third party. I cant see how any of us could not vote for him in 2020 knowing how desperate the radical  Left are to take over the White House and all the power that comes with it.

A categorical error based upon the wrong metric.
Back to the 'lesser evil' argument.

That will not make me vote *FOR* him.
A pox on both houses.

The campaign donations. Who are the bundlers raising this money? The Victor Hsu types?

There's no way there was a spike in campaign donations on such short notice without some sort of chicanery. Bundlers did this.
