U.S.—Democrats are bringing a new tactic to the next presidential debate. Each candidate will arrive on the debate stage with a child to hold up whenever someone tries to question or challenge any of the statements they make.

"This cable TV debate format doesn't allow for long-winded answers and rebuttals. You gotta make your point and you need people to move on," said news anchor Anderson Cooper in support of the new debate technique.

Recently, presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren was asked about accepting lobbyist money and she immediately lifted up a five-year-old girl named Sophie.

"Why are you attacking this child? Are you some kind of monster?" she asked, leaving her interviewer speechless.

"These are the kind of people I'm up against," Warren later said to her supporters after dropping Sophie into a carrying case for later. "People who ruthlessly attack children."

I have got to where I visit the BB and have placed them in my News/Politics bookmarks close to the top. They have got where they are cutting edge and they don't play with dull knives. I wonder if the part about reusing children is another underhand slap at illegals that reuse kids to get asylum in the US.

By its nature, satire reflects on real things. In the Bee's case, the real things might be Evangelicals' foibles - no lack of material amongst us - or it might be politicians (an inexhaustible supply of material!). The point for me is the reflections, and Bee writers are often on-point ... very pointedly.

Yes, because it’s all about the children. We know how educated and wise sixteen-year-olds are, especially in the area of critical thinking.

Which brings to mind the sixteen-year-old boy who thought how ironic and fun it would be if a frozen turkey were to fly into a car? (Because, you know, turkeys can’t fly.) So he threw a frozen turkey off an overpass into the windshield of a family visiting for the holidays a few years back. But, alas, the results were tragic.

You’d think Time might have at least considered this sixteen-year-old genius.
