Elizabeth Warren edged ahead of Joe Biden, according to a new Quinnipiac University national poll, the latest sign the Massachusetts senator has emerged as the former vice president's chief rival for the 2020 Democratic nomination.

The survey, released Wednesday, finds Warren winning 27% of Democratic voters and independent voters who lean Democratic, while Biden garnered 25%.

Although the difference between Warren and Biden is within the margin of error of +/- 3.2 percentage points, it is the first time that any candidate other than Biden has had the numerical lead in the primary since Quinnipiac started polling the race in March.

In the Sept. 19-23 poll, of 1,337 self-identified registered voters, Warren and Biden are followed by Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders with 16%; South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg with 7%; and Kamala Harris received 3%, the California senator's lowest number yet.

Rival candidates in the more than 15-person field didn't climb above 2%.

Biden is headed for an orange jumpsuit.  Warren will rise up to take the lead, but will she be at the finish line?  I don't think so.  More than ever, I see HR Clinton jumping in.

Trump was an outsider in 2016.  This time around the Democommies will be singing impeach Trump right up to the November election.  And thank God, because this will electrify the Republican and Independent voters to turn out and vote out the Democommies.

Don't be too sure.   Warren is promising every senior a $2,400 annual boost in their social security, to be paid for by "the rich".   That's likely a tempting bribe for votes.

China is being confronted for their illegal trade practices for the first time. Judges are being appointed. Central American countries are agreeing to change their asylum laws. Mexico is helping on the border. I think Trump is getting a lot done considering he has limited support.

That's assuming there's any GOP consultant left willing to do that and actually man up and face the Dem/MSM media blow back that will come with a truthful ad like that.

Part of the reason Dems want to run a woman against whomever the GOP puts up...but especially against Trump is so they can automatically pounce and call any attack ad or criticism leveled by the GOP as sexist and misogynistic and shut down any real questions about what the ads are saying against the Dem candidate.  Another reason why if Lieawatha becomes the nominee she'll pick Castro.  Then any criticism of their policies or proposed legislation they propose can be not only labeled as sexist or misogynistic...it can be labeled as racist too.

Mexico deploying some National Guard to the border was for show.  We're still having Border Patrol agents attacked and shot at from across the border.  THe detention facilities are still over flowing...the cartels are still sending drugs across unfettered.  And as for those central american countries taking asylum seekers...what did we promise their countries monetarily to keep them there and not let them come north?  How many more billions in foreign aid that we don't have are we gonna send them?  And for what?

Like I said...Trump talks a good game...but the follow through is severely lacking.

Everything that Warren proposes is supposedly going to be paid by the rich.  Don't count on it.  Everything will be paid by the middle class until there is no middle class and socialism sets in.

Yes agreed that promise of a seocial security benefit increase could very well equal votes.  For many it would help them to make ends meet and perhaps as a treat once a month, maybe able to afford to go to a local diner, have a.c. during the summer months, heat their homes better during the winter months or maybe they'll be able to afford some much needed meds.
