4 Chinese tourists identified in deadly bus crash in southern Utah
September 22, 2019 / 5:52 PM / CBS/AP

Five passengers remained in critical condition Friday night and the death toll could rise, Utah Highway Patrol Sergeant Nick Street said.

All 31 people on board were hurt, 12 to 15 of whom were considered to be in critical condition shortly after the crash. Several of them have since improved, Street said. Not everyone was wearing a seat belt, as is common in tour buses, he said.

The National Transportation Safety Board was sending a team to investigate, according to CBS affiliate KUTV. Officials are expected to give an update later Sunday night.

August 20, 2019 - 13 Chinese killed in bus crash in Laos

It certainly is odd that this has happened about 3 times in the past month's time.  It also says a whole lot of Chinese are traveling the globe, they really are. Maybe touring other countries was almost unheard of under some of the harsh regimes of the past. Now, they obviously have some money to tour with. It certainly seems strange, all of these bus crashes.

Of course my deep-felt condolences to those affected. Tragic.
