Miami Herald by Monique O. Madan 9/20/2019

A bill that would halt employment-based immigration from any countries other than India or China is headed back to the floor of the U.S. Senate next week.

If it passes, immigration policy experts estimate that for the next 10 years or so, Indian nationals, as well as a small number of Chinese nationals, would be the only foreign workers able to obtain green cards through employment — a move that would crush U.S. businesses seeking other talented foreign employees.

On Thursday, Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee attempted to pass the House’s “Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act” — the Senate version is S.B. 386 — by unanimous consent on the Senate floor. The move, essentially a voice vote, bypasses Senate procedure in an attempt to pass legislation quickly. But it fails if just one senator opposes holding a voice vote.

Here is the text of the bill: https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/386/text

The names "India" and "China", contrary to what the Miami Herald insinuates, are not in the bill. Nor is any country named, not any ethnic group. IOW, the Miami Herald lied.

Maybe the Miami Herald makes the racist assumption that Central and Latin Americans who come to the US aren't educated, but I have worked with engineers from some of those countries. Further maybe the Miami Herald makes the racist assumption that only Chinese and Indians come to the US for skilled jobs. Having worked in Silicon Valley for over 40 years, I've worked with lots of ethnic Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese (did a 10K yesterday organized by the San Jose Vietnam Running Club), Thai, Filipino, Pakistani ... one member of my work group is Burmese.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.
