We had a new hire in the office a few years ago. A young lady fresh out of the university and this was her very 1st job. On the day of her very 1st pay check ( the 1st ever in her life btw) she knocked on the VP door. I was in with him discussing some important work related things like, would the Bears win this weekend and if I wanted to grab a beer after work and such, and he invited her in.
She said that there was something wrong with her paycheck and that the amount on the check did not add up to what her hourly rate should be. The boss asked to see the pay stub and after several seconds of looking at it he said it appears to be correct and pointed out a line on the check where it had the hours worked, times the hourly rate of pay, and the total dollar amount. She continued for several more minutes saying it was wrong and her check did not reflect that amount. Finally the Boss understood the problem and proceeded to explain the "Deductions for Taxes (Federal and State) then Social Security and medicare and so on and so forth. AFter several more attempts to assure her all was correct, she turned to leave and said: "Numbers are hard".
Hate to say it but she was smarter then Biden.
