I love my Chevy truck.  Great vehicle.

Yep, I drove Chevy all my life.  The last two trucks I had got 250-260 thousand miles in their lifetime. But they priced me out last time. I still go in shock when I see a Honda parked in my driveway, lol.

Got a 5.3l Sierra and feel the same.

But I think my next one will be a Texas made Tundra.  I know the mileage is not as good, but it is assembled here.

I used to buy GM all the time.  I had a '72 Nova I drove the wheels off of.  The most recent I got was a '95 Beretta, and I liked it quite a bit.  I ended up giving it to my Mom, who turned around and gave it to my sister (after I explained I would not give the car to anybody if she let my idiot sister have it).  The car was falling to pieces after my sister got her non-compos-mentis hands on it.  She never did a lick of PM, as I knew she would not.  Within the first week she ran the fuel injectors dry.

Teamsters won't deliver GM vehicles; Automaker says it has plenty of inventory

The Teamsters union is honoring the UAW’s picket lines, something allowed in the Teamsters contract, so the approximately 1,000 Teamsters who transport GM vehicles will not be hauling them to dealerships. Teamsters spokesman Bret Caldwell said that represents a significant portion of GM deliveries.

Teamsters Local 41 vows to stand by UAW's side during KCK strike

Following the announcement from the Teamsters, Local 41 president Ralph Stubbs told 41 Action News that it was important for unions to band together.

“We have our Penske guys that haul parts in and out of the factory,” he said. “They’re not working. That’s their job and that’s their livelihood. They don’t know if they’ll be out one day, two days, a week.”

My sister just got a Chevy truck and likes it, mostly because it's one of the few that offers manual transmission.

Oh well.  Like there is not a glut of GM vehicle rusting on dealers lots right now.  I miss my 71 Vega.

They should stay on strike and break the union!

Do you realize how many Americans would line up to work at an automobile plant with their current hourly wage and benefits package??
Heck they would have people lining up for half the wage and benes package. Some are skilled labor, but most are putting the red nut on the blue screw.

I doubt new people would be lining up for the jobs, if it means having to move to the greater Detroit area.

Maybe they should be getting Bernie Sanders' proposed $15 per hour wage.

The GM workers who just went on strike make $63 an hour.  Poor guys can barely afford a summer cabin, boat and jet skis!

Not surprising to find out someone who spends his time showing himself yelling at other people’s videos would be so wrong. They make good money, but he’s not even close.

The typical General Motors (GM) Assembly Line Worker makes $20 per hour. Assembly Line Worker hourly pay at General Motors (GM) can range from $12 - $31. This estimate is based upon 44 General Motors (GM) Assembly Line Worker salary report(s) provided by employees or estimated based upon statistical methods. When factoring in bonuses and additional compensation, a Assembly Line Worker at General Motors (GM) can expect to make an average annual salary of $45,026 . See all Assembly Line Worker salaries to learn how this stacks up in the market.

I believe that figure includes benefits and other employer contributions.

:yowsa: Total compensation vs hourly wage.

I would not hurt my feelings one bit if it leads to quicker bankruptcy.

GM should have been broken up as a condition for the bailout.

That would have run contrary to Obastard's Communist plans.

Then they should be taxed on that and not continually have the Cadillac plan tax exemption kicked down the road. Let them dwell in the painful reality of socialism they so often employ in their quest for “worker’s rights.” The backlash from that is the only way you would ever truly get rid of Obamacare.

Obama was way out of line with the GM situation years ago.  He forced the closure of Pontiac, which was selling more vehicles than Buick.  Also Humvee and Saturn.  He had no right to do what he did, in addition to disenfranchising the stock and bond holders.  What that POS did was criminal.

Buick had a bigger market. They're huge in China
