Trump Tweets Eight Things CNN Will Bury During Their Global Warming Event…And Liberals Will Probably Freak Out

CNN is having a seven-hour town hall event on so-called global warming. This circus is going to last…seven whole hours. The 2020 Democratic field is going to have their day talking about one of the Left’s favorite subjects. Julian Castro got the ball rolling talking about “environmental racism.” He was later asked whether it was “fair” for younger generations to procreate. Yeah, this clown show is going to last seven hours, did I already mention that? The noted anti-Trump network has its rating buoyed by the fact that airports only show CNN, though I think even folks waiting to board their flights will find this to be nauseating. No one cares. It’s another theatrical production from people of the elite class, from urban America, trying to tell the rest of us how to live our lives. It’s one massive ad buy for the Green New Scam, which, like most far-left environmental action items paves way for backdoor socialism under the guise of trying to save Mother Earth. 

Well, President Trump wasn’t going to keep quiet for several hours. He took to Twitter to note eight things CNN will bury during tonight’s climate change event, which will surely drive liberals insane. Why? Well, that’s their default reaction to anything Trump says or does. The president merely stated that the U.S. was the nation that saw the largest drop in carbon emissions, China is the largest carbon contributor, and we lead the world in energy production. The Left is staunchly anti-fracking when it comes to natural gas. What better gift to the Russians than to stop our natural gas production…and Trump is the one who is a Russian puppet? But hey, these are their rules.

Julian Castro Explains How He Would Use Executive Action To Address Climate Change – And It's A Doozy

"So, I believe that on the afternoon of January 20, 2021 at 12:01 p.m. that we're going to have a Democratic president, a Democratic House and a Democratic Senate," Castro explained. "My first executive order that afternoon will be to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord so that we lead again on sustainability, but it's actually what comes next after that that is the most important: a series of other executive actions and legislation."

According to Castro, on Tuesday he released a plan called "People First, Planet First."

"We would make investments to make the United States to net zero by 2045. We would incentivize wind energy production, solar energy production, invest in renewables. We would challenge the rest of the world, at the latest, to get to net zero by 2050," he explained. "We would institute a carbon pollution fee to help make the investments that we need to make. We would also take executive orders. For instance, prohibiting fossil fuels exploration, permitting of it, and extraction on federal lands."

Bernie Sanders Makes One of the Most 'Horrifying' Arguments During CNN Climate Town Hall

CNN hosted 10 town hall events with Democratic presidential candidates on the climate “crisis” Wednesday evening—a program that took place over seven hours, giving Republicans a treasure trove of material to use ahead of the 2020 election.

President Trump’s re-election campaign already took advantage of the content and made some great videos of all the crazy things Democrats said during the program—from vowing to get rid of plastic straws, banning offshore drilling, and ending all fracking, to disincentivizing meat eating. But some Democrats, including Sen. Bernie Sanders, took the issue of population control to new levels.

A member of the audience, Martha Readyoff, who was identified as a teacher, told Sanders the planet has experienced a doubling of human population growth in the last 50 years and this is unsustainable. 

“I realize this is a poisonous topic for politicians but it’s crucial to face,” she said. “Empowering women and educating everyone on the need to curb population growth seems a reasonable campaign to enact. Would you be courageous enough to discuss this issue and make it a key feature of a plan to address climate catastrophe?”

"The answer's yes,'" Bernie answered. "Women in the United States of Americas, by the way, have a right to control their own bodies and make reproductive decisions

"And the Mexico City agreement — which denies American aid to those organizations around the world that allow women to have abortions or even get involved in birth control — to me is totally absurd," he continued. "So, I think, especially in poor countries around the world where women do not necessarily want to have large numbers of babies and where they can have the opportunity through birth control to control the number of kids they have, it's something I very strongly support."

The response shook Twitter users.

There’s a reason why the Democrat National Committee desperately avoided demands from fringe candidates like Washington State Gov. Jay Inslee to schedule a debate focused solely on “climate change,” and you saw that reason on CNN last night. – The simple fact of the matter is that, whether the problem is real or not, it inevitably highlights just what a bunch of nutjobs the Party is offering to the voters in this cycle.

Andrew Yang wants the government to force you to buy electric vehicles, even though the EV industry has no capability whatsoever of meeting such a demand, and forcing such a change would do nothing to address the alleged problem in any event.

Elizabeth Warren wants to ban the building of new buildings starting in 2028. No really, she does.

The Commie wants to throw everyone in the oil, gas, and coal industries in prison. Because science.

Irish Bob O’Rourke wants to wave his arms around crazily and propose to spend $5 trillion on a bunch of stuff that will do nothing to address the alleged issue, and he wants to cuss about it.

Kamala Harris wants to do this, but not this, and that, but not that, borrow this idea from Warren and that idea from Mayor Pete and another idea from AOC, and then take the other sides of those issues all at the same time. And then she wants to get into a fight with the Commie about all of it. Which is why she has fallen into Irish Bob O’Rourke territory in the latest round of polls.

Joe Biden has no clue what he wants to do other than to spend a bunch of money on stuff that doesn’t matter. So, standard operating procedure for the nation’s Unfrozen Caveman Senator, who is exactly who Irish Bob is going to become 35 years from now.

All of them claim hurricanes have become more frequent – they haven’t. All of them claim hurricanes have become stronger – they haven’t. All of them want you to believe Dorian is the most powerful storm of all-time – it isn’t.

All of them want to blot the American landscape with millions of 500-ft. windmills that require 8 acres of land apiece and gigantic solar farms and decimate our bird populations in order to provide very high-priced energy to about 2 percent of us so that they can claim to be “doing something” about a problem none of them has any real knowledge of.

The fact of the matter is that “climate change” is a global socialist political religion. Every proposal to address “climate change” inevitably becomes a top-down, command-and-control socialist-model “solution” that would do nothing to make the climate better but do everything to command and control the lives of everyday people. Every proposal would be incredibly destructive to the national and global economy. Every proposal would effectively work to keep the 2 billion or so human beings living in squalor in 3rd world countries today living in squalor in 3rd world countries forever.

That's the thing about Trump:  he's random, anywhere from brilliant to abysmal.  When he gets his fact straight, rather than making them up, his analysis of problems facing the US is usually spot on (as in this case), though his proposed solutions to the problems are usually ham-handed.  If we actually had a loyal opposition in this country, Trump initiatives, moderated by Congress, would turn into decent policy, but, then again, if wishes were horses, then beggars would ride.

On carbon emissions. The president kicked off his list by touting America’s progress on reducing pollution and claiming that China “has dumped the most carbon into the air.”

As we’ve explained before, since 2000, the United States did make the largest absolute reduction in emissions of any country. But large absolute reductions are only really possible in big countries full of people who pollute a lot per person.

In terms of a percent decline in emissions, many industrialized nations in Europe have bested America. Denmark slashed its emissions by 34% between 2000 and 2016, while France scored a 20% cut, and the United Kingdom made a 29% cut. In comparison, the U.S. managed only a 14% decline over the same period, and remains the second highest overall polluter and the 10th highest per capita polluter.

Trump’s claim that China “has dumped the most carbon into the air” is false. China is currently the world’s largest emitter of carbon dioxide, but historically, the United States has dumped more carbon into the atmosphere.

On air pollution. The president’s third fact was that 91% of the world’s population is “exposed to air pollution above the World Health Organization’s suggested level.” This is true. The WHO features the statistic on its website, and a nearly identical 90% appeared in a press release when the group announced updates to its ambient air quality database in 2018. But Trump went on to say that “NONE ARE IN THE U.S.A.!” That’s false.

The United States, however, is not the top energy producer, at least according to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The most recent global figures from the EIA put the U.S. behind China in 2016 when counting total primary energy, or the total of all fossil fuels, nuclear power and renewables.

Under Trump, energy production has expanded, but not to a degree that eclipses China’s production in 2016. The U.S. produced 96 quadrillion Btus in 2018, which did not exceed China’s 2016 total of 107 quadrillion Btus.

On clean air and water. The president twice referenced clean air and water in his list of purported facts, first claiming America has the “cleanest and safest air and water” and later implying that he is responsible for the accomplishment.

This is one of Trump’s favorite environmental subjects, but by several metrics, the U.S. does not rank first in the world. And there is little evidence to suggest the administration has made air or water quality better.
