Judge orders case against Epstein over

A federal judge on Thursday ordered the sex trafficking case in New York against Jeffrey Epstein to be formally dismissed following the financier's death in a Manhattan jail earlier this month.

U.S. District Judge Richard Berman signed a "nolle prosequi," ruling that the case will be dismissed, according to a copy of the document obtained by The Hill. Prosecutors had requested the charges be dropped last week.

A spokesperson with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York confirmed to The Hill that an investigation into any alleged co-conspirators in the case would continue.

“Because Jeffrey Epstein, the defendant, died while this case was pending, and therefore before a final judgment was issued, the Indictment must be dismissed under the rule of abatement,” Thursday's filing reads.

Where is his body?

Where is Maxwell?

Who has authority to mange various properties; NYC, Carib island, New Mexico, other etc. (have keys, pay bills, etc)

Is the  DOJ/FBI interested?

That begs an interesting question:  Where is the body?  Will there be a Funeral?  Cremation?  Is it odd there isn't a word about that in the press.

This was the criminal case. The criminal is dead, so he cannot be prosecuted.

AFAIK, the civil cases are not affected by this, as the plaintiffs can sue Epstein's estate, and if Maxwell was sued, well, she still has to go to court on the lawsuit.

I want any pedophiles who partook in Epstein's perversion to be brought to justice, regardless of who the chips are who fall.

Don't hold your breath. Killing this guy was a major risk they were willing to take and they proved that they can do it to anyone.

My wife is not usually a newsjunkie or a political junkie.

But she has been interested in the wellbeing and interests of the girls/ladies that were involved.

Asks: Funeral? Heirs? Will? Estate? Where are Maxwell, pilots, caretakers & employees, etc.

Won't happen. Now comes the shell game - There are various corporations that hold the property, no doubt, and now you can watch those various corporations deflated and endebted till all that's left will be eaten by the lawyers to provide the show.

And those embattled corporations will be overtaken by different corporations, being owed a ficticious debt, and the transfer happens for a song.

NEW YORK, Aug 29 (Reuters) - A federal judge on Thursday formally dismissed the criminal sex trafficking case against financier Jeffrey Epstein in light of his death in jail earlier this month.

U.S. District Judge Richard Berman had said at a hearing on Tuesday that he was legally bound to dismiss the case. Prosecutors said at that hearing that an investigation into Epstein's alleged crimes would continue, and that the dismissal would not prevent them from charging possible co-conspirators in the future.

Epstein's lawyers could not immediately be reached for comment on Thursday.
