Growing chasm on Trump divides LGBTQ movement along party lines

By Valerie Richardson   - The Washington Times - Updated: 12:45 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019

President Trump is responsible for the most anti-LGBTQ administration in modern history, according to the Center for American Progress’ Winnie Stachelberg, whose assertion astounds openly gay conservative activist Charles Moran.

“Are you kidding me?” said Mr. Moran, national spokesman for the Log Cabin Republicans. “When [President] Bill Clinton signed ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ and the Defense of Marriage Act? When Donald Trump is the first president ever elected who supports marriage equality? Are you kidding?”

In fact, he said, Mr. Trump is “arguably the most pro-gay Republican, the most pro-gay president ever elected to office,” providing the parameters on the chasm between the left and the right when it comes to the president’s record on LGBTQ issues.

Trump doesn't care what two consenting adults do.  But he won't go to the Parades,  and that's what upsets the Lefty Gays.

Give Trump his due, he doesn't care about other people's sexuality.
That he is not "promoting" it is what has the alphabet soup crowd angry.

I guess you don't live in a gay "friendly" state.  It isn't about what consenting adults do its about shoving it down everyone's throats.  If it was about what consenting adults did you wouldn't have to have pride events.  You wouldn't have to paint the town rainbow.  You certainly wouldn't be riding bikes down the middle of town with no tops on (lesbian)  And men simulating sex with other men in public pride parade.

And what sex you decide to have would not give you special rights.  We can see what happened with Jeffrey Epstein that it was absolutely true that pedophilia is the next one to declare special rights.

And he is promoting it.

Everyone knows that Iran hangs lots of people.  Probably more Christians than gays.

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

Printer who nixed gay pride shirt goes to Ky. Supreme Court

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — A Kentucky print shop owner who refused to make a gay pride T-shirt argued before the Kentucky Supreme Court that he shouldn't be compelled to promote messages that go against his religious beliefs.

Blaine Adamson, owner of Hands-On Originals in Lexington, declined a T-shirt order from Lexington's Gay and Lesbian Services Organization for the city's 2012 Gay Pride Festival. The design had the text "Lexington Pride Festival" wrapped around the number five, celebrating the event's fifth year.
The city's Human Rights Commission said Adamson's refusal violated its gay-rights fairness ordinance.

This stuff is so great!  So good we should export it around the world.

A Constitutional Amendment for Gay Rights?
By Jonathan S. Tobin

The goal is to limit a religious minority’s conscience rights.

he gay-rights movement has been on an impressive winning streak. Over the past two decades, full acceptance of those who identity as LGBTQ, as well as of marriage equality, spread from the precincts of popular culture to the courts and now, as polls have shown, to a general sense that these issues are settled. Gay marriage is the law of the land, and no one turns a hair when gay politicians reach high office or even are appointed to posts in a conservative Republican administration.
