A U.S. Navy hospital ship docked off the coast of Columbia to treat refugees from Venezuela amid a spiraling migrant crisis in the region.

The USNS Comfort embarked on its fifth medical mission in Central America, South America and the Caribbean earlier this week, docking in Santa Marta.

Teams from the US, NGOs, and partner nations are currently working alongside host nation specialists to provide medical assistance to help relieve pressure on the health system strained by the Venezuelan migration crisis.
