Hickenlooper announces Senate bid
By Kyle Balluck and Tal Axelrod - 08/22/19 06:07 AM EDT

Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper (D), who last week ended his 2020 presidential campaign, announced on Thursday that he will seek a seat in the U.S. Senate.

“I’m not done fighting for the people of Colorado,” he said in a video attacking Washington over preexisting conditions, prescription prices and the opening of public land to developers.

“I don’t think [Sen.] Cory Gardner [R-Colo.] understands that the games he’s playing with [President] Donald Trump and [Senate Majority Leader] Mitch McConnell [R-Ky.] are hurting the people of Colorado,” he said, referring to the incumbent Republican senator.

The Hick is at least odds-even to beat Cory Gardner next year.

Similarly, Mark Kelly is gonna run McSally outta Arizona town, too.

So we're going to have to start looking hard for one or two Senate pickups elsewhere.
These two look to be goners.

Further evidence that formerly purple/red states are tipping to the blue side.
Reality bites.  (sigh)

People are moving out of CA and NY and are flocking to FL and TX.  That migration will definitely impact the 2020 elections.

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
