Biden slaps Trump on trade as he vows to 'make him feel the pain' in 2020

URBANDALE, Iowa — Joe Biden said President Trump could not take a punch as he offered his most pointed critique of White House trade policy since launching his bid for the Democratic nomination.
The former vice president, speaking for nearly an hour in the sweltering summer heat to approximately 200 likely Iowa caucusgoers near Des Moines, said that the pugnacious Trump is a paper tiger who folds when challenged. And that, Biden charged, is what is happening in the deepening trade rift with China that was instigated by the president.
“He thinks he’s being tough. Well, like everything else, he’s always tough when he’s not the guy getting hit; he’s always tough when someone else is feeling the pain, and he’s not. But we’re going to make him feel the pain.†That last line was in reference to the president’s 2020 reelection bid.
