Germany unmoved by US threats to withdraw troops

Chancellor Angela Merkel says US has good reasons for having troops stationed in Germany
Ayhan ÅžimÅŸek   | 14.08.2019

Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday reiterated her long-held position on defense spending, despite recent Trump administration threats to pull U.S. troops out of Germany and move them to Poland.

Speaking at a news conference, Merkel said Germany would continue to gradually increase its defense spending with the goal of meeting the NATO target, and argued that the U.S. has good reasons for having its troops stationed in Germany.

“I believe that the stationing locations in Germany are also good locations for the American soldiers,” Merkel stressed, adding that big investments were made for these military bases.

I think Trump is the first US President since Reagan who would follow through with this threat. Merkel is basically betting that like Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama, Trump would not do it. IOW, she's playing chicken with the German economy, her motorcycle vs. Trump's Humvee.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone ever tell her that East Germany lost the Cold War?

Or maybe I am the one that is confused, and the Communists won? It's seems to get harder and harder to tell with every passing day.
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!

That's it.  Judging by recent history, she's betting that there's no way the U.S. will follow through.
