The US military has hundreds of troops stationed deep in the mountains of Honduras — here's what Joint Task Force Bravo is up to

    Army Col. Steven Barry recently took command of Joint Task Force Bravo, an outpost in Honduras manned by a mix of US forces.
    The 500 and 1,500 US troops stationed at Soto Cano Air Base are focused on the region, training with local forces for a variety of scenarios.

Over the past four decades a small outpost in Honduras has housed a mix of US military forces, backed by aid organizations to do a Swiss Army-knife type mission of providing medical assistance, disaster response and military training for Latin American allies.
