Clashes and armed confrontations erupted between the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia on the one hand and the military security of the Assad regime on the other, in al-Mayadeen city in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour.

Members of the Revolutionary Guards attacked the military security detachment in al-Mayadeen located in the eastern neighborhood of the city, and clashed with its members, in conjunction with the introduction of Iranian militias reinforcements to the area of ​​engagement, local sources confirmed.

According to the sources, the reason for the clash was due to the military security detachment cracking down on Iranian militias in the city and provoking them in an attempt to subdue them.

I'm listening to them a bit more now. They have bias, so does almost every press outfit.

The main story here though, would seem to be the Assad Regime forces and the IRGC, Iranian Revolution Guard are fighting with each other. If so, that seems pretty significant.
