The Chinese regime has denounced comments by an Australian politician who drew a comparison between the West’s response to China’s rise and France’s failure to contain the advance of Nazi Germany.

Andrew Hastie, a federal lawmaker of the country’s ruling Liberal party, in an Aug. 8 opinion piece for Nine newspapers, urged Australians to be “clear-eyed” on the threats posed by the communist regime, as it seeks to replace the United States as the dominant power in the Indo-Pacific.

Australia suffers from an “intellectual failure [that] makes us institutionally weak,” Hastie warned.

“If we don’t understand the challenge ahead for our civil society, in our parliaments, in our universities, in our private enterprises, in our charities—our little platoons—then choices will be made for us. Our sovereignty, our freedoms, will be diminished.”

FINALLY someone has said what needs to be said!

Hard to  believe it was a member of a Liberal Party.

The Chinese are nothing less than Fascists.
It takes an special kind of "Stoopid" to make Trump look like a defenseless victim and gain public sympathy,but damned if the Dims didn't pull it off!
