North Korea fires projectiles, marking the 4th launch in the last 2 weeks
By ELIZABETH MCLAUGHLIN and CONOR FINNEGAN Aug 5, 2019

For the fourth time in less than two weeks, North Korea has fired projectiles into the Sea of Japan, a U.S. official said.

The two projectiles, fired on Tuesday morning local time, were assessed to be similar to the short-range ballistic missiles tested by North Korea last week, the official said.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs told Yonhap news agency that the projectiles were fired from areas near the South Hwanghae Province.

Bottom line, this won't end well as it appears China's Xi has pulled the plug on enabling diplomacy with North Korea.

The so-called Alliance 19-2 exercises were instituted after Trump unilaterally agreed to Kim’s request last year to suspend larger, live-fire Ulchi Freedom Guardian drills that North Korea long denounced as an effort to prepare for an invasion. Trump administration officials say the current “command post” exercises are largely computer-driven and don’t constitute a breach of the president’s commitments to Kim.

Firing missiles over simulated war games. We should run computer exercises 365 days a year. He’ll deplete his missile inventory in no time. It’ll only cost us a few kilowatt hours.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.
