They'd never make it to my door. We'd organize and hunt them down like dogs in the bush.

Maybe where you are. Once things get to that point where I live I would not expect to be around to help clean things up.

If the left ever gets (grabs, steals) the power to go door-to-door confiscating weapons/guns in the USA.... they will probably hire foreign mercenaries to do their dirty work for them (or antifa thugs).   And the ones coming to your door will have no compunctions about gunning you down if you resist.
Could that not be what was attempted in a roundabout way with Holder's Fast and Furious gun running operation?

That was part of it, sure.   And just think.... that's only one scandal that we know about.  Wonder how many more scandals were connected to Barry's reign that we never found out about, thanks to the ultra-corrupt/mega-leftist FBI (and other compromised intel agencies).

I think Trump has lost the election.  The entire country, except for his always loyal subjects, are blaming his bad language about Spanish "invaders" for inciting whites to kill Spanish people.  This is not true about the one in Dayton, but the one in El Paso is much larger and right there on the Mexican border.  The killer said he wanted to kill the Spanish "invaders."

Am watching a Democrat candidate right now saying Trump caused this.  People who just live their lives and are not up on politics, will accept Trump as the cause and they will vote Democrat thinking that will stop the killings because Trump won't be in the White House anymore.  It doesn't matter what the truth is, they see the killings and hear Trump caused it and will do their part to "get rid of him" so the killing stops.

And, it is a long time before election time.  If the memory of this one fades away, which I doubt, there had better not be another one.

Bob went to Walmart to buy some things.  Went to the cashier and asked her how she felt about the killings.  She says she is worried now working at the check-out and the company has not said anything about providing security.  How would you feel working at the check-out?

There are going to be gun bills before Harris or any Democrat will be in charge.  Likely Lindsey Graham's bill, along with a Democrat, will be up for a vote when the Senators get back.  The pressure is on to pass something and the House will pass it and Trump will sign it - and that won't stop the killing but will start a way to take arms from citizens.

What on earth are we going to do about people who hear only what they want to hear (even if it never was said)?

You may be right.  Little to no improvement on border security, the trade wars continue bringing down the economy and now he is considering implementing red flag laws.  Why vote for him?  Obviously there is no guarantee that he will be successful on the border, that we will win the trade wars and that he won't further stomp on the 2nd amendment.  IF he should win re-election there is nothing to hold him back from doing whatever he wants -- 4 more years and he's out.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

You are thinking too much - not like the average voter thinks.  Average voter sees the news once a day in the evening unless he/she automatically goes to a move to watch.  They only get brief news - they hear killing happened and Trump caused it and that has been on TV all day yesterday and today and I just heard it again from a Democrat as I am typing this, and will tomorrow and onward.  That gives them ONE SOLID REASON for voting Democrat to stop the killing and they don't have to listen to the news anymore from now to election day.

In other words, they now have a reason to vote Democrat and don't have to think of any other reason to vote.  The average voter begins to think of the election about a month before it happens.  Now, with this upcoming election, voters already have their reason a year in advance - have to stop the killing.  No point in watching news now, let's watch another movie and vote Democrat to stop the killing.

Liberty, you are great, your posts are great.

Horse manure.

For a person to be swayed like you say is to convince him/her that the alternate Democrat candidate would do it better.

There is the problem with that argument.
