George P. Bush denounces 'white terrorism' after El Paso shooting
The Hill, Aug 3, 2019

Texas General Land Office Commissioner George P. Bush issued a statement that called on all Americans to stand against "white terrorism" Saturday after a gunman who espoused white supremacist views in a manifesto killed at least 18 in El Paso.

Bush, son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), said Saturday evening that "white terrorism" was a "real and present threat that we must all denounce and defeat."

"I believe fighting terrorism remains a national priority," Bush said. "And that should include standing firm against white terrorism."

"There have now been multiple attacks from self-declared white terrorists here in the US in the past several months," he added. "This is a real and present threat that we must all denounce and defeat."

It’s takes zero courage to speak out against “white terrorism” ... the same can't be said for speaking out against these animals.

Quite honestly, I don't have a whole lot of respect for Jeb! or his son "P".  Two RINO's that would be nothing without the Bush last name.

Why would an American politician fear speaking out against MS-13? They don't vote. They don't have a constituency of supporters who vote. Have they done any physical harm to US politicians of which I am unaware?

Scalise, Giffords weren't shot by MS-13.

Good question.
Because dealing with hood violence is hard. It requires recognizing some tough, sobering, generational, ingrained truths that pandering politicians and their ilk don't want to admit, much less address.

A buddy of mine and I were just discussing the thought of a second term, unfettered Trump releasing holy hell on our inner cities. Its long past time for a reckoning.

Good question.  Why don’t they?

In order for the DEMS to dennounce MS-13 and other terrorists they would have to admit that they are the ones continuing to allow them to come into the country in the first place.  They would have to admit that we need better border security, reinforcement of our existing immigration and asylum laws.  In doing so, they would have to give $$ to Trump's wall and would give him an edge on the 2020 election.

I disagree.  The one doesn’t necessarily entail the other.  It certainly doesn’t apply to native-borns who have been recruited into the gang.

Native born citizens wouldn't be recruited if MS-13 wasn't here in the first place to recruit them.  They are getting across our borders because there isn't a substantial complete border wall,  border patrol has been told to stand down in the past and our immigration laws have been lax. There are still RINO's and DEMS that tell the American public that they are just here to seek a better future.

Good question.  Why don’t they?

Are they any more relevant than outlaw motorcycle gangs, black street gangs, mafia, etc when it comes to drug-dealing and other criminality? I admit that I don't know the ubiquity of their influence.

Not true.  Members could be admitted legally, and then recruit.

and there is still no necessary connection between a politicians failure to condemn MS-13 and that politicians views on immigration.  The two are not necessarily related.

True. But, by the same token, wouldn't it benefit Trump to overstate their influence for the same reason?

IF an MS-13 gang member is legally allowed entrance into the U.S., then what does that say about our laws allowing them in, in the first place?  What does that say about our supposed back ground checks??  They would either have made application for citizenship into the U.S. and accepted or granted asylum.  I find that troubling.

For the most part MS-13 gang members are here illegally, often arrested and thrown in our jails where they make recruits -- all on the tax payers dime.  What is wrong with that picture?  How many MS-13 gang members have made it across the border and not been caught?

Again --- I'd lay odds that the DEMS would not vote to label  them as terrorists nor would they allow for immediate deportation.  God forbid if we profile them, pull them over or apprehend them on suspicion and deport them.

Pretty hard to overstate their influence and terror when they are brutally torturing and murdering citizens.

That doesn’t answer the question.

I don't know the answer. I don't know why a Texas senator would be worrying more about Antifa's actions in Oregon than MS-13, if MS-13 is an existential threat in Texas.

The two are not related the way you seem to think they are.

Denouncing MS-13 as violent would not require the denouncer to also state his or her immigration policy.  It would be just as likely that the denouncer would say that what a shame it was that their relaxed immigration policies were being abused by animals like MS-13, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

"White terrorism"???  Oh... so now, terrorism has a color.   Who knew?

George, you ignorant slut.   If the shootings had been done by a hispanic or a black, you would have kept your piehole shut, right?

The two are related in that very way.  Our lax immigration policies in the past as well as our current crisis at the border is allowing illegals in from over 50 different countries; and included in the count are MS-13 gang members and terrorists.  The DEMS would have to accept responsibility for not granting Trump the $$ needed for deportation, a wall and better border security.
