Russian Opposition Leader's Doctor Says He May Have Been Poisoned In Prison - Tsarizm

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny organized massive demonstrations in Moscow on July 27th to protest alleged rigged upcoming municipal elections in the Russian capital; he was detained. However, once inside prison, Navalny suffered a ‘severe allergic reaction’ and was taken to the hospital. His doctor says he was very possibly poisoned by a chemical substance.

Navalny, 43, was rushed to hospital on Sunday morning from jail where he is serving a 30-day sentence for violating tough protest laws, a day after police in Moscow detained over 1,000 people for an illegal demonstration which Navalny called for, reported The Moscow Times.

His spokeswoman Kira Yarmysh said Navalny had signs of an acute allergy with “severe swelling of the face and skin redness.”

It sure crossed my mind too, got sick in prison.

Russia had those protests the other day, Saturday, arrested over a thousand people including Navalny, the opposition leader.  Navalny subsequently, went to the hospital.

The police in Russia deserve to be seen in action over these protests.

Updates, a lot of the Russian people per a poll backup this crackdown by police.

Another update, I was reading that all these protesters were mainly concerned about were lower level elections in Moscow, something along the lines of City Councilman.
