Senator Joni Ernst recently traveled to the southern border to witness the conditions first hand.

The GOP Senator has reported that while the conditions of the detention facilities are safe, the crisis is real, and they are at maximum capacity.

According to The Daily Caller:

    Ernst also visited unaccompanied children and experienced the apprehension of a family first-hand, she told the Daily Caller News Foundation on Tuesday after the three-day trip over the weekend.

I used to think she would be a bright star in the future. I doubt it now. She was so quick to criticize Trump on his tweets about "the squad" it became clear she has a PC streak in her.
