Conservatives erupt in outrage against budget deal
By Niv Elis - 07/23/19 11:09 AM EDT

Conservatives are outraged about the $320 billion budget deal President Trump announced Monday, and they are not holding back.

Rep. Mark Walker (R-N.C.), a member of the House leadership, tweeted out a gif of the Joker burning a giant pile of cash when the announcement came out.

“Our credit card is maxed out,” he wrote in a follow-up Tweet. “What this budget deal does is ask the credit card company for another $320 billion in credit NOW for the chance to get paid back $75 billion in a decade. No bank would take that. American taxpayers shouldn’t either,” he added.

Looks like nobody told the GOP members they would have to sign on to this monstrosity.  That's OK.  It's just one more principle flushed away.
At least they can stand side by side with the rats.  :patriot:  #MAGA

Well, for all the hate Ryan gets, he actually tried to do major entitlement reform that would fix some of the long-term issues, but couldn't get enough support from other Republicans.

This sh*t has GOT to stop.

BTW the only elected ‘conservatives’ with credibility enough to ‘erupt’ with ‘outrage’ over the budget are the ones who lent vocal support to the tea party.

Absolutely right!  And Mitch McConnel swore to tear it down!

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

And he did.

Well, at least after the Tea Party was usurped by special interest and frauds. 8888crybaby

Sen. Cruz Issues Statement Opposing Budget Deal
    July 23, 2019

    202-228-7561

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement regarding the budget deal reached yesterday:

"The budget deal reached by administration negotiators and congressional leadership is yet another missed opportunity to rein in excessive government spending. This deal irresponsibly jacks up spending by $320 billion without real offsets, and suspends the debt limit into 2021. Instead of finally dealing with our nearly $1 trillion deficit and $22 trillion debt, this deal just kicks the can down the road again. Three years ago, the American people voted to move away from the big-government spending of the Obama era. We should work to restore fiscal sanity, rather than perpetuating Democrats' big government programs. I urge administration negotiators to go back to the bargaining table and fight for the president's priorities."

The HFC (Jordan and Meadows) are relatively quite on this, proving once again they've been neutered.

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

@Sanguine

Cruz is 100 percent on-target with that one.

Yes.  Rush Limbaugh is trying to spin it that Trump won a victory.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

This is the kind of thing that a lot of us "NeverTrumpers" were concerned about... that hopping onboard the Trump Train without actually considering the consequences could lead to total abandonment of everything we're supposed to stand for.

Exactly right. And proven true, at this point.
