President Donald Trump blasted special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation as “bullsh*t†during his campaign rally in North Carolina.
The president took aim at the former special counsel, whose testimony before Congress was postponed until next week, and the two-year-long investigation into alleged collusion between Russia and his 2016 presidential campaign.
“And the reason we have to, not only to do new things, which we will, and you know statutorily, and we had all sorts of artificial witch hunts over our head,†Trump told a rally crowd in Greenville, North Carolina on Wednesday.
“Can you imagine if we didn’t have to go through that hoax, I don’t know that we would’ve done any better,†he added. “To be honest with you, I think we’ve done more in two-and-a-half years than any president ever. First two-and-a-half years.â€
But, Trump posited, his administration could have accomplished a lot more if not for the “witch hunt.â€
