Scherie Murray, a New York businesswoman who immigrated from Jamaica as a child and is active in state Republican politics, is launching a campaign Wednesday for the congressional seat held by Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Fox News has learned.

In a phone interview, Murray, 38, confirmed her intention to run for the New York congressional seat as a Republican.

“There is a crisis in Queens, and it’s called AOC,” Murray told Fox News. “And instead of focusing on us, she’s focusing on being famous. Mainly rolling back progress and authoring the job-killing Green New Deal and killing the Amazon New York deal.”

Yes she is a media creation, but not so sure that she'll quickly disappear.  She may be young but she graduated cum laude from Boston University. She worked as an intern for Teddy Kennedy, was an organizer for Bernie and was involved in the National Hispanic Institute as an educational director among other endeavors.  She is a 'progressive' and a woman of color; I think she has huge appeal to the millennial.

Bammy certainly was a media creation and he became POTUS.  I don't think we can count her out.

All the occasional-communist has to do to win again is be on the ballot with a "d" next to her name.

She'll win in a runaway.

But I still think she has an eye on Schumer's seat -- which will be up for re-election in 2022.

She still be 29 during the campaign season, but I believe she'll turn 30 (and thus be Constitutionally qualified) to hold the seat by swearing-in day...
