Despite Media Rhetoric, Legal Immigration Hits Record Highs Under Trump

President Donald Trump only ever campaigned on curtailing illegal immigration, but that hasn’t stopped his critics from pretending otherwise.
The surge in illegal aliens at the border, especially those coming with children (a challenge we haven’t faced in this quantity before), has allowed the left to seize on a narrative of cruelty inflicted on immigrants in Trump’s America. Indeed, it was those who politicized Trump’s “cruel†treatment the most (the so-called “squad†of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib) who voted against a Democrat led bill to provide a $4.5 billion aid package described as a “total surrender by Republicans†to help relieve the situation at the border, and improve living standards for illegals and their children as they await trial. I guess they’d rather not see conditions improve so long as they can continue making “concentration camp†analogies? Who knows.
