These Hotel Chains are Hellbent on Stopping ICE

Major hotel chains are vowing not to let ICE use their rooms for temporary detention during this weekend’s planned raids.

The Hill’s Jessica Campisi reports:

    Major hotel chains headquartered in the Washington, D.C., area pledged not to allow Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to use its hotel rooms as backup detention centers for undocumented immigrants targeted in this weekend’s raids.

The government shouldn’t be using hotel rooms as detention centers anyways, except where they’ve rented the entire hotel out.

Before anyone gets all gooey and sentimental, it is important to remember that Hotels are one of the largest employers of illegal workers.

It is not as if these Hotels give a damn about the people, in fact just the opposite. They are worried that ICE will take away their slave-labor and they will have to pay a living wage to 'legal workers'. This is not compassion. It is all about making the super-rich hotel owners even richer. It's all about money and nothing else.
